Bonnie glanced at Zane, who immediately straightened up. "You better not, I'll ask the auntie to help later."
Because Freddy had returned, and with Bonnie being pregnant, the Cooke family had hired a housekeeper to assist at home.
Yanis followed Bonnie's gaze and glanced at Zane's face before nodding. "Alright then, shall we head back?"
"Let's go, but drive slowly," Bonnie said.
Yanis nodded and stood up before going to support Zane. "Zane, we're going home."
Zane responded with an affirmative sound and stood up. As he got up, he stumbled, and if it weren't for Yanis quickly catching him, he might have fallen to the ground.
Bonnie stood by and watched Zane's condition. "How about you both stay here tonight? I don't think he can make it home without throwing up."
Before Yanis could respond, Zane spoke up first. "Home."
After speaking, he turned and embraced Yanis. "Yanis, we're going home."
Yanis held him steady. "Alright, we're going home."
Seeing this, Bonnie still had some concerns and asked, "Should I call Albi to come and help? It might be tough for you to handle him later."
Yanis glanced at the time and replied, "It's late, I can manage on my own, and he might sober up by then."
Bonnie looked at Zane's face after hearing Yanis' words. "I doubt he'll sober up like this."
"Yanis, I can walk on my own," Zane said, straightening himself up after speaking. He reached out and took Yanis' hand. "Let's go... home."
Yanis agreed and then looked at Bonnie. "We'll head back now, you get some rest too."
"Alright, let me know when you get home," Bonnie said.
Bonnie accompanied them to the door, watching Yanis and Zane get into the car and drive away before turning back.
Haider had also had quite a few drinks tonight, but compared to Zane, he remained relatively composed.
Even though he had had a bit too much to drink, he sat quietly without talking or bothering anyone.
Bonnie handed Haider a glass of warm water. "Haider, have some water."
Upon hearing Bonnie's words, Haider glanced at Bonnie's face, then patted the chair next to him, gesturing for Bonnie to sit down. He then reached out and took the glass of water from Bonnie's hand.
Bonnie sat down on the chair and watched as Haider drank the water. "You can stay here tonight, I'll prepare the guest room for you."
Haider nodded. "Alright."
"Haider, I went to see him today," Bonnie whispered to Haider.
Haider nodded lightly in response. "If you want to go see him, go as many times as you need. It'll be alright."
Bonnie was about to say something when Haider's voice interrupted her again, slightly hoarse from the alcohol. "See him more, and you'll gradually get used to the fact that he's no longer here. You'll slowly place him in your heart and eventually forget."
Haider's gaze fixed on Bonnie's face. "Bonnie, both Myles and I want you to be happy. Do you understand what I mean?"
Bonnie pressed her lips together. "Haider, how could I forget?"
"Even if you can't forget, you'll eventually start to fade those memories. He has completely left your world, and you have to live your own life from now on. It's what he wanted and what I want for you."
Listening to Haider's words, Bonnie nodded gently. "I know, I'll be fine."
Haider raised his hand and gently rubbed Bonnie's head. "It's getting late, go rest."
"Let me help you upstairs." Bonnie stood up and reached out to assist Haider.
Haider shook his head. "You go rest first. I'll sit here for a while and sober up. Otherwise, I won't be able to sleep tonight."
Bonnie didn't insist when she heard Haider's response. "If you're uncomfortable, ask Auntie to make you a sobering soup?"
After watching Yanis fall asleep, Zane bent down and kissed her forehead before leaving the bedroom, going downstairs to pour a glass of water and smoke a cigarette before returning upstairs.
The consequence of staying up until dawn was that Yanis didn't go to the shop until noon the next day.
When Yanis arrived at the shop, Bonnie had just arrived as well.
Both of them had prominent dark circles under their eyes.
"What did you do last night?" Yanis asked in shock upon seeing Bonnie.
Bon
nie glanced at Yanis's face and retorted, "And you? What did you do last night?"
Yanis didn't say anything. "What about Wendy? What are we having for lunch?"
Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked, "You still haven't answered my question."
"Wendy?" Wendy came out from inside upon hearing Yanis's voice. "What's up?"
"What are we having for lunch today? I'm starving," Yanis said, looking at Wendy.
"Is your Mr. Lawrence mistreating you? Not even feeding you?" Wendy teased.
Yanis turned to Bonnie and exclaimed, "Yeah, he's mistreating me!"
Bonnie clicked her tongue. "You must have been exhausted last night, huh?"
Yanis blushed upon hearing Bonnie's words. "He got drunk last night and kept causing a ruckus!"
Bonnie simply smiled without saying anything and motioned for Yanis to come closer with a crooked finger. "Come here."
