Even though Yanis had only spent two days in the hospital, returning to D-king Castle gave her a sense of being away from home for a very long time.
"Go upstairs and rest. I'll have Auntie prepare something to eat, and I'll bring it up to you later," Zane said softly to Yanis after changing his shoes.
Yanis turned around and looked at Zane, taking a step closer and hugging him. "Will you rest with me?"
Zane held her tightly. "I still need to go to the company later. Albi has been busy on his own these past two days."
"Is there something urgent at the company?" Yanis hooked her arm around Zane's neck, looking at him.
Zane met Yanis's gaze, hesitating for a few seconds. "No, nothing is as important as you."
After saying that, Zane bent down and lifted Yanis up. "I've already talked to Auntie. She'll come up later."
Yanis allowed Zane to carry her upstairs. "Will you still go to the company later?"
"I'll stay with you first. We'll talk about the company later."
Yanis murmured in agreement.
Back in the master bedroom, Yanis got down from Zane's arms. "I'll take a shower first. Wait for me outside."
Zane nodded. "I'll go and prepare the water. You go get your clothes."
Yanis nodded. "Okay."
As Zane was about to turn around and call for Yanis, she suddenly appeared in front of him. "Zane."
Before Zane could react, Yanis threw herself at him and kissed him passionately.
Zane froze for a moment before taking the lead.
What was supposed to be a simple kiss escalated into an uncontrollable passion.
Yanis didn't know how she ended up on the bed. When she woke up, it was already dark outside.
Yanis lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling in a daze for a while.
Then she sat up.
Just as Yanis was about to get out of bed, the bedroom door opened, and Zane walked in from outside. "Are you awake?"
When Yanis saw Zane enter, she opened her arms towards him.
Zane stepped forward and embraced her. "What's wrong?"
Yanis shook her head. "I just wanted to hug you."
Zane gently rubbed her head with his hand and said softly, "Are you hungry?"
Yanis responded, "A little."
Looking at Zane, she asked, "Did you eat already?"
Zane nodded. "When I came back, you were still asleep, so I didn't wake you. What do you want to eat? I'll make it."
After hearing Zane's words, Yanis let go of him. "Just make something simple."
"Okay, wait for me. I'll cook now."
Yanis stood up and said, "Wait for me. I'll go down with you."
Zane acknowledged her request.
Yanis quickly freshened up and then followed Zane downstairs.
While Zane was busy in the kitchen, Yanis sat at the bar counter, watching Zane's bustling figure in the kitchen.
This scene was something Yanis had fantasized about countless times in the past, whether it was her being busy and Zane watching or the other way around. She had imagined it all.
But back then, this kind of scene could only be a fantasy.
After so many years, being able to witness this scene, Yanis felt content. It was like something she had longed for had finally come true, filling her heart with joy.
When Zane turned to look at her, Yanis smiled at him.
Zane paused for a moment, walked over to the bar counter, and leaned in closer to her, asking in a low voice, "What are you thinking about?"
Zane nodded in response. "Alright."
Manchester City was neither too big nor too small.
Even though Yanis had been in Manchester City for so many years, there were still many places she hadn't been to or even heard of.
Before marrying Zane, Yanis only had painting and design on her mind.
After marrying Zane, her heart and eyes were filled with Zane.
The car drove quite a distance before stopping.
It was a secluded place for Yanis.
"What is this place?"
"It's a piece of land recently acquired by the Lawrence Group. I'm thinking about what to do with it," Zane said, standing beside Yanis, looking at the vast empty space.
"You didn't have any plans when you acquired it?"
"I didn't have any plans at that time. I just thought the location was good, so I bought it," Zane explained.
Yanis glanced at the surroundings and said in a low voice, "It's surrounded by residential areas. It would be nice to take a walk here after dinner."
"A park, maybe? Or a shopping park. We can have water features and some amusement facilities for children," Yanis suggested.
After hearing Yanis's words, Zane nodded. "A shopping park it is."
Yanis looked at him in surprise. "Is it decided just like that?"
Zane reached out and pulled Yanis into his embrace. "I already have a house in the opposite residential area. I asked Albi to keep it. We can stay there for a couple of days, and in the future... we can bring our children here too."
As Yanis listened to Zane's plans for the future, a deeper smile formed on her lips. "Alright."
After a moment of silence, Yanis looked at Zane and asked, "Is the house fully furnished?"
"Bare shell. Would you like to design it?" Zane looked at Yanis and whispered.
