Chapter 828: Half-Siblings with Different Fathers

Ryan stood still for a long time, watching Ivan's car drive away and disappear from sight before finally turning back and entering the house.

After leaving, Ivan didn't go directly to the hospital but went to find Teddy instead.

When Ivan called Teddy, Teddy was being lectured by his mother at home.

His mother was complaining about how everyone's sons were getting married and having children, even someone like him who was still single.

So when Teddy received Ivan's call, he immediately escaped from Yang's house to meet Ivan.

Teddy approached and sat down beside Ivan. "What's going on with you? Did you come back specifically to get drunk?"

Ivan glanced at Teddy's face upon hearing his voice. "I'm not getting drunk, I just wanted someone to have a drink with."

Having spent so much time with Ivan, Teddy knew him well. He didn't expose Ivan's denial and instead reached out to pour him a drink. "Alright, I'll drink with you for sure."

After saying that, Teddy asked the server for a glass and poured a drink. "Here?"

Ivan lifted his glass and clinked it against Teddy's before downing the entire contents. Teddy raised an eyebrow at his gesture. "So you really wanted to drink?"

"What else?" Ivan replied.

Teddy took a sip. "Don't you want to talk to me about something? Or share your thoughts with me so I can analyze them?"

With these words, Teddy paused for a moment. "Or how about you start by telling me why you suddenly came back? You didn't even tell me in advance. I was planning to come and find you these past couple of days, and here you are."

Ivan poured another drink. "I came back because I wanted to."

Teddy naturally didn't believe it. "Because of her?"

The "her" Teddy referred to was clear to both of them, even though no names were mentioned.

Ivan didn't deny it. "You didn't hear about the fire at South Park?"

Upon hearing this, Teddy continued, "Yeah, I heard, but what does it have to do with Yanis?"

Ivan explained, "Neve came out and, posing as a client, lured Yanis there. Initially, they planned to die together, but for some reason, it didn't happen. Yanis is in the hospital. She burned herself to death in the house at South Park."

Teddy wasn't one to pay much attention to news like this. He had only heard a few passing remarks about the fire at South Park. But now, hearing Ivan say it, Teddy couldn't help but feel shocked.

"Is she okay now?" Ivan nodded, "She's fine with Zane by her side."

Teddy took a couple sips of his drink, "Ivan, it's time to let go."

Ivan replied, "I can't let go now, even if I want to."

Teddy looked at him with confusion, "What's wrong?" Teddy added with a sigh, "You're not falling in love with someone else, are you?"

Ivan glanced at Teddy and said, "She's my sister."

Zane grunted, "I'll go buy something for you."

Yanis nodded and watched Zane leave. She then turned to Olivia and asked, "Why are you here?"

Olivia looked uneasy as she gazed at Yanis. "We just heard about what happened to you and came to check on you."

Yanis whispered, "There's nothing wrong with me."

Olivia seemed like she wanted to say something but hesitated.

Seeing that Olivia didn't speak, Yanis didn't inquire further. The two of them sat in silence. After a while, Olivia finally spoke up, "Yanis, Miss Lawrence came to see me that day."

Yanis looked at Olivia, puzzled, and asked, "Who?"

"Phoebe, I think that's her name."

Yanis furrowed her brows slightly, "Why did she come to see you?"

"She overheard our conversation that day, and she asked me to tell her the truth so she could help Antonio. So, I told her."

After Olivia's words, Yanis remained silent for a few seconds before softly acknowledging, "I see."

Olivia looked at Yanis and continued, "I also told her about your biological mother."

Yanis paused for a few seconds before asking, "Who is she?"
