I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 774

Chapter 774: The Only Thought He Left Me

As they arrived at the entrance of the cemetery, Evan and Haider approached Bonnie.

Bonnie halted her steps. "Haider."

Haider nodded. "You came alone? Why didn't you wait for me?"

Bonnie glanced to the side. "I came with Yanis. She's waiting in the car for me."

Upon hearing this, Haider looked in the direction she indicated. Yanis was on the phone, but she got off the car and nodded towards them.

Haider retracted his gaze and looked at Bonnie. "Wait for me a moment. I have something to tell you."

Bonnie nodded. "Okay."

Evan greeted Bonnie, then went into the cemetery with Haider.

Yanis finished her call and walked up to Bonnie. "Are you alright?"

Bonnie nodded. "I'm fine, don't worry."

Yanis glanced at the entrance of the cemetery. "Then let's head back?"

"One moment, Haider said he wants to talk to me." Bonnie spoke softly.

Yanis nodded. "Wait in the car, then."

Although it was overcast today, the temperature outside was still high.

The two of them headed towards the car.

"Bonnie is pregnant?" Evan asked Haider as they left the cemetery.

Haider nodded. "It's Myles'."

Evan was surprised by this revelation. "Myles didn't know before?"

"He probably didn't."

Evan wanted to say something, but he swallowed his words at the last moment.

"What did you want to say?"

"Haider, I know it's not quite appropriate to say this now, but... but after this, Bonnie will be alone, raising a child. It's not an easy thing." Evan whispered.

Haider furrowed his brow slightly upon hearing that. "I've been thinking about this the past few days too. If Bonnie keeps the child, it will be her life. But if she doesn't, it's the only thought Myles left her. None of us have the right to make decisions for her."

Evan nodded. "That's true, but we still need to consider her."

"Let's talk about it later. I'll have a conversation with her."

Evan acknowledged with a grunt. "I'll wait for you in the car."

"Okay."

After Haider finished speaking, he opened the passenger door, allowing Bonnie to get into the car. Then he walked around and took his place in the driver's seat.

The car drove a short distance out of the cemetery before Haider spoke. "Bonnie, there's something I've been considering these past few days. I know it's not appropriate for me to say this, but I must. However, the final decision is still up to you. I'm only offering advice."

As Haider's words reached her ears, Bonnie fell silent for a few seconds. "Haider, are you talking about the child?"

Upon hearing Bonnie's words, Haider turned his head to look at her, somewhat surprised by Bonnie's straightforwardness.

Before Haider could speak, Bonnie continued, "Actually, at first, I considered not keeping the baby because I thought it wasn't Myles'. But after I learned the truth, I decided to keep it. It's the only thing he left me, and I can't let go of everything."

Bonnie's voice was soft, but her tone was resolute.

"But Bonnie, this is a lifelong commitment. Have you thought it through?" Haider asked.

Bonnie nodded, "It's the most precious gift he left me."

"Then go ahead and give birth to the baby. We'll be there for you in the future."

Yanis had initially planned to stay with Bonnie a little longer, but she had some clients who needed to change styles and such, so Yanis had to go back.

"How about I come and stay with you tonight?"

Bonnie shook her head, "If you don't go home tonight, Mr. Lawrence might come and take you back directly."

"But you'll be alone..."

"Yanis, I'm not alone. I have him. We are two people."

Before Yanis could finish her sentence, Bonnie gently interrupted her.

Yanis's gaze fell on Bonnie's abdomen. "Alright, rest well. I'll come visit you whenever I have time."

Bonnie responded with an "Okay." "Are you sure you don't want me to drive you?"

"No need. Stay at home. I've already called a car, and it will arrive soon."

"Then let me accompany you outside and wait until the car arrives before I come in."

Bonnie accepted Yanis's suggestion without refusal.

The two of them chatted at the doorstep for a while, and when the car arrived, they separated.

After Yanis left, the smile on Bonnie's face faded away.

She turned and went back to the villa, telling the housekeeper not to stay tonight, "I'll stay at my home tonight. You can go back, and come here tomorrow."

The housekeeper didn't suspect anything and nodded, "Alright, I'll come tomorrow then."
