Yanis listened to Bonnie's words and nodded softly, "I'll handle it myself."

Bonnie handed the ice pack to Yanis. "Keep it on for a while longer."

Yanis agreed.

Stella stood by and spoke up at the right time, "I know a lawyer who could help with all this. Should I contact him?"

"No need," Bonnie replied. "Lane is pretty powerful in the legal world. With him around, we won't have any problems."

"Lane? The 'miracle lawyer' Lane who won a complicated case before?" Stella asked Bonnie.

Bonnie nodded. "That's him."

"Well then, no need to worry," Stella said confidently. "He's definitely one of the best in his field."

Yanis listened to their conversation but didn't feel any comfort from their words.

Before Alibi could answer, Lane's phone rang again

"Hello?" answered Lane.

On the other end of line, someone said something which caused Lanes facial expression to relax naturally.

"Okay.. okay thank you very much. I'll visit next time when I have free time "

"Alright, I won't bother you anymore then."

Lane hung up and looked at Alibi. "The forensic report came back. The cause of death wasn't due to being beaten, but because he suffered from sudden heart attack."

Upon hearing Lane's words, Alibi breathed out a sigh relief, "So does that mean Mr. Lawrence isn't responsible?"

Lane said, "There is no responsibility on our part, but the his family will definitely not let this go easily. They will say that it was because of the beating that led to this situation."

Albi looked at Lane and asked, "What do we do now?"

"Wait for the forensic report to be handed over to the police. Then Ivan and Robin can be released on bail. As for Mr. Lawrence, it may be a bit more troublesome because the Ahmad's family is watching him closely. They won't just let it go like this," Lane replied.

Albi understood and said, "I'll go help Ivan and Robin with their bail procedures."

Lane nodded and said, "I'll go check on Mr. Lawrence."

"Okay," Albi agreed.

In the interrogation room, Zane sat in a chair and truthfully explained what happened.

"Okay, we'll investigate further..." The interrogating officer didn't finish his sentence before his phone rang.

Zane was momentarily stunned as Yanis walked towards him.

Without even hanging up the phone, Zane stepped forward and embraced Yanis. "Why did you come over? Didn't I tell you to stay in the hospital?"

Yanis hugged Zane tightly, trying to calm herself down before speaking. "How is everything? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. We can go home now," Zane replied with a nod.

After hearing his response, Yanis finally let go of her worries. "Are you sure nothing happened to you? I heard..."

"Yanis, I'm fine. This is a lawful society now; there won't be any dirty tricks," Zane interrupted softly while patting her head gently. "How are you feeling after your check-up?"

"I'm okay; let's just go home and rest," Yanis answered with a smile.

Zane looked down at her but couldn't help noticing something on her face. He stared at it for a few seconds before asking curiously: "What happened to your face?"

Yanis raised her hand to cover it up slightly."It's nothing; maybe just from sleeping on it wrong."

Afterwards she turned towards him again and asked: "So how are Ivan and Robin doing?"

"Albi has already gone through bail procedures for them; they should be out soon," Zane replied while reaching out to touch Yanis' face gently again."But seriously though, Yanis, everything okay with your face?"

Shaking her head, Yanis denied that anything was wrong. Zane's eyes then shifted over towards Bonnie and Stella who were standing nearby. Stella was busy scrolling through something on her phone while Bonnie completely ignored his gaze. She walked over towards Lane instead saying: "Thank you for all your hard work."

Lane glanced briefly at Zane's direction before responding: "No problem."

"Bonnie!" Zane's voice rang out suddenly.

Bonnie pretended not having heard anything as she pulled Lane away by his arm, saying:"When you're free someday, I'll treat you dinner, alright?"

Lane nodded in agreement: "Sure! Just give me a call then."
