I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 476

Chapter 476 Don't stand up for others in everything

Sydney drove Finnley back to the Ellis family, watched him enter and then drove the car away.
As soon as Finnley entered, he saw Julia, who was sitting on the living room couch, talking to someone.
Julia also looked up at Finnley when she saw him walk in.
Finnley gestured for her to continue, turned around and poured a glass of water, then brought it to Julia's side of the couch and sat down, holding her phone and messaging Sydney, "You drive slowly."
Soon Sydney's message came back, "I'm going straight home, I'll message you when I get home."
Finnley returned a hmm and put the phone down.
By the time Julia finished her voice it was ten minutes later.
Julia looked at Finnley who was leaning on the couch, "You've been drinking?"
Finnley hummed, "I drank a little."
Finnley got up and sat up straight and looked at Julia. "Just talking to Lana?"
Julia nodded, got up and went to the kitchen fridge to get a drink. "Want to get you something to sober up? I'll say first that I don't know how to make it, you..."
"Julia."
Finnley didn't wait for Julia to finish her sentence, and then interrupted her.
Julia stopped talking and she looked at Finnley sitting on the couch. "Why you have such a look on your face? What? Did you and Sydney break up?"
Finnley frowned slightly after hearing Julia's words, "Can't you say something nice?"
Julia laughed lightly and took a seat next to Finnley, "Are you sure you don't want to make some sobriety soup?"
Finnley waved his hand, "No."
"You have something to say?" Julia asked, looking at Finnley with a tilt of her head.
Finnley said, "What are you doing messing with Zane's people?"
Julia's delicately drawn eyebrows wrinkled slightly after hearing Finnley's words, "Zane approached you?"
"Just left from drinking with him."
Julia took two sips of her drink, "It is something I did impulsively."
Finnley looked at Julia. "Tell me more about it."
Julia put the drink in her hand on the table and recounted Finnley the general story, "That's the way it is. I didn't know it clearly before."
After listening to Julia, Finnley frowned, "What did Lana say in front of you?"
Julia looked at Finnley, "Don't ask about the things between us girls, I will solve this matter and won't invite any trouble to you or to Dad."
Finnley reached out and rubbed a hand on Julia's head, "I know you are a very smart person. Some things are not what you think, so don't stand up for others in everything."
Julia whispered, "I'm not standing up for anyone..."
"You like Zane?"
Finnley interrupted her.
Julia's eyes widened at Finnley's words, "What nonsense are you talking about? Have you drunk too much?"
"Then if you don't like Zane, why are you doing it?"
Julia was somewhat speechless, and Finnley and she stared at each other for several seconds. Julia was defeated. "Okay, okay, it's my fault, I will go tomorrow to apologize to Miss Thompson, okay?"
Finnley said, "And go to Zane and show your attitude. He was pretty blunt tonight."
"Isn't Zane divorced from that Yanis?"
Finnley said, "You can't remarry if you're divorced?"
"When did they remarry?"
Finnley finished his glass of water. "Why do you ask so many questions?"
Finnley got up and said, "Don't forget to send Miss Thompson a message later and make it clear."
Julia nodded, "Got it."
Finnley went back to the room, seemed to think of something, and stopped to look at Julia sitting on the sofa, said softly, "Recently West City CBD project is in the tender. I have been thinking about it for a long time. Tonight Zane and I talked about it. It's very promising."
The words Finnley said were not really straightforward, but Julia understood.
"Okay, I know, I'll call Miss Thompson right now and apologize to her."
Finnley hummed, "Also, I know you and Lana are good friends.
You can help her out with all the other things you want, but you should stay out of the relationship stuff."
"Got it, why are you talking so much?"
Finnley took two steps in front of Julia, reached out and rubbed Julia's head randomly. "If you weren't my sister, you can see if I would say one more word to you."
Julia raised her hand and slapped Finnley's hand away, "Come on, you keep talking for another while, Mom and Dad will be awake."
Finnley laughed, "Now you're scared? Why didn't I see you scared when you were bullying me?"
Julia: "Are you going to sleep or not? If you say one more word, I'll tell Sydney about you went out drinking two days ago!"
Finnley: "..."
After Finnley went upstairs, Julia thought about it, but still picked up her phone and found Yanis's number to send a message out.
The other side.
Yanis came out of the shower while Zane was looking at her phone.
Yanis walked over to the bed while drying her hair. "Is anyone calling?"
Zane handed the phone to Yanis, "Julia."
Hearing this name, Yanis paused. "What does she want from me?"
Yanis reached out and took the phone from Zane's hand and looked at it.
[Miss Thompson, your painting will appear on the showroom tomorrow as usual, sorry for the trouble today].
[For my recklessness, I'm sorry.]
Two simple messages.
Yanis finished reading it and put the phone aside.
Zane got up and took the towel from Yanis' hand, and pressed Yanis to sit down on the edge of the bed, "Aren't you going to reply it?"
Yanis shook her head, "No, I'm not."
Zane said, "Then not."
While talking, Zane helped Yanis dry her hair with a towel, then turned to get a hair dryer.
When Zane went to put back the towel and hair dryer, Yanis took the phone again to look at the text message sent by Julia just now.
It was reasonable to say that there was no conflict between her and Julia, or what was called a love interest.
Julia did it either for herself or for someone else.
Yanis was curious about her motive, and after thinking about it, Yanis sent a Facebook message to Bonnie: [Do you know Julia?]
Bonnie's message came back in seconds: "Not familiar, met a few times, what's wrong?]
Yanis: [The person who took my painting is her.]
Yanis' message was sent, and Bonnie popped up the video directly.
Yanis hung up and quickly returned the message: [I'll come to you tomorrow morning].
Bonnie: [Zane in?]
Yanis sent back a yes.
Bonnie: [Then we'll talk tomorrow.]
The two of them were about to go to sleep when there was a knock on the door and Anika's voice came, "Are you asleep?"
Zane rolled over and kissed Yanis, who was about to speak, and whispered, "Ignore her."
