Chapter 467 - Are you jealous?
Yanis did not wait until the third day for the results in the painting.
In the afternoon, Yanis could not sit still and called the Old Mr. Duncan on his own initiative.
When the call was made, the line was busy.
But not long after, the Old Mr. Duncan's phone call came through.
"the Old Mr. Duncan."
After the call was answered, Yanis took the initiative to call out to someone.
The Old Mr. Duncan answered, and his voice was as gentle as it was before he joined the company, "I just got a call from the exhibition."
"Did you find out?" After hearing the Old Mr. Duncan's words, Yanis was the first to ask about the situation.
After all, the exhibition would be officially opened tomorrow morning.
"I got it." The Old Mr. Duncan whispered, "I'm at the Gallery right now, I'll send Iris over to pick you up and we'll talk when you get here."
Yanis originally said that there was no need for Iris to come and pick her up, she could just go there herself.
But suddenly she remembered that the car she drove before was still at Bonnie's side and hadn't driven over, so she agreed to do so.
Today is Sunday, Zane is still working late at the office.
Yanis sent a message to Zane before he left home, saying that there was news about the exhibition and that he was going to go to the Gallery.
The message went out for about five or six minutes and Zane's message didn't come back.
I think she was busy, so Yanis didn't send any more messages, simply packed up and went straight to the door to wait for Iris.
When she changed her clothes and came downstairs, Iris' phone call came in.
Yanis answered the phone, "Iris."
"I'm at the door." Iris said.
Yanis answered, "I'll be right out."
After hanging up the phone, Yanis hurried out the door.
On his way out, he caught a glimpse of the car parked in front of the door.
Iris got out of the car when she saw Yanis coming out of it. She just wanted to open the door for Yanis, but her eyes fell on Yanis' feet and she laughed softly, "There is no hurry, there is the old man."
Yanis just wanted to respond to Iris after hearing his words, but after looking at Iris's eyes, Yanis looked down and realized he was still wearing shoe slippers.
"Sorry, I forgot to change my shoes in my hurry just now." Yanis said with some haste, "Wait for me, I'll go in and change, I'll be ready soon."
Iris said, "Okay, take your time."
Yanis handed her bag to Iris as she went in, "I'll be ready soon."
Iris reached out and took Yanis's bag, "Slow down."
Yanis trotted inside, and the phone in Yanis' bag rang.
Iris was not going to answer it, but it kept ringing. After a few seconds of hesitation, Iris took the phone out.
When she saw the caller ID, Iris subconsciously tried to put the phone back in, but her hand didn't hold the phone steady for a while, so she scratched her finger on the screen and the call was answered.
Iris looked at the caller ID on the screen and couldn't tell what she was feeling for a while.
Zane's voice was already coming through the phone, "Yanis?"
Iris spoke up when Zane called out a second time, "Mr. Lawrence, it's Iris."
There was nearly ten seconds of silence on the other side of the phone.
Iris didn't know what to say for a while.
The two of them were silent and did not open their mouths.
Finally, it was Iris who opened her mouth first, "So what, the old man asked me to come and pick up Yanis and take her to the Gallery, they found out why the painting was lost."
Zane didn't say much after hearing Iris' words, just asked in a nonchalant way, "Mr. Duncan still has a weekend?"
Even though Zane's tone was mild and inaudible, the words he said were immediately sour.
Iris naturally also heard that Zane was jealous.
Iris couldn't help but let out a low laugh, "Mr. Lawrence, are you jealous?"
Iris is a very good friend of Yanis and will only be a friend in the future."
The words were said so solemnly by Iris, but it made Zane a little uncomfortable.
The company's main goal is to provide the best possible service to its customers.
"Yanis was in a hurry and didn't change her shoes when she came out, but now she's gone back to change her shoes.
Iris seems to have thought of something, "I didn't mean to answer the phone just now, Yanis's bag is here with me, you just happened to call and it kept ringing, I was afraid there was something urgent so I took it out and looked at it, I was going to not answer it when I saw it was you, but it just so happened that I accidentally scratched the answer."
Zane did not expect Iris to explain so carefully, and for a while did not know how to answer.
Fortunately, Yanis came out of the room at this time after changing her shoes.
Iris also said directly, "Yanis is out, you can talk to her."
Originally, Zane hung up, but when Iris said so, Zane waited a little longer.
Iris handed over the phone in her hand after Yanis approached, "Just now your phone kept ringing, I was afraid there was something urgent so I took it out to check, and accidentally answered it, Mr. Lawrence's phone."
Yanis after hearing Iris's words, there are a few nervous, but the face before the police force openly, "It's okay, let's go."
Iris hmmm, turned to help Yanis open the car door, let Yanis get into the car, only then raised his hand to close the door.
"Zane, the Old Mr. Duncan asked Iris to come pick me up to go over to the painting show." Yanis got into the car and put on her seat belt while talking to Zane, "Are you done?"
Zane said, "I'll be there in half an hour and pick you up."
Yanis responded, "Okay, I'll see you later then."
While Iris was still in the car, Yanis asked quickly, "Are you jealous?"
On the other side of the phone, the man's tone was aggravated, "I just had a drink with Mr. Duncan."
Yanis laughed out loud when she heard Zane's words, "Don't drink too much."
Yanis hung up the phone before Iris got into the car.
"Mr. Lawrence isn't mad, is he?"
Iris asked in a low voice as she looked over at Yanis after getting into the car.
Yanis shook her head, "No."
Iris smiled, "That's good, I just saw it was his phone call was going to be not to answer, but accidentally scratched it."
"It's okay."
Iris drove the car, "By the way, Gallery side had someone recheck the surveillance, the surveillance was moved, less than half an hour after you put the painting in, it was taken away."
"But isn't there only access cards to get in?"
"The staff over at the painting exhibition took the back door, that's why it went in smoothly."
Yanis listened to Iris' words and frowned slightly, "The person who took my painting is from Gallery?"
Iris hesitated for a few seconds, "Not really, someone else paid for it, so she was just a pawn."
