I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 137

Chapter 137 Let Her Go

"Just for some pictures and videos, you will be sent home soon."

When Ivan heard this on the phone, he got up and shushed his subordinate.

Then he took his cell phone and walked out of the conference room.

"Mr. Baxter..."

Ivan stopped him from talking and walked toward the elevator.

The conversation between Bonnie and Yanis and the several men kept coming.

"Pictures and videos?"

The man smiled, "Don't worry, as long as you give us the money, we won't really do it, but if you want to trick us, we might actually do it."

The two other men laughed.

Bonnie and Yanis exchanged glances and understood what they meant.

It took a long time before the car was stopped.

"Be obedient and don't say anything, got it?"

Yanis nodded, paused before getting off the car, looked over at the man sitting on the passenger seat and asked, "Sir, is the person who hired you from the Lawrence family?"

When the man heard Yanis's words, the expression on his face changed obviously and then he said, "No."

Yanis nodded, "I see."

"Leave your bags in the car, you can't take them there."

Bonnie held her bag and said, "Okay. But why are we at a hotel?"

"Stop asking questions and go!"

Bonnie put the bag on the back seat and got off the car with Yanis.

Ivan frowned.

Just as Ivan was going to keep listening, he heard the man's voice again, "Check what is in their bags, maybe we can get some more money."

"Go check it and get rid of their phones, lest someone finds us!"

"That woman was really smart. She was right about them offering money to us."

"How could she not be smart? Women can sometime be even cleverer than men."

"Check their bags. I need to go into the hotel now."

Ivan quickly hung up the phone and called someone, "Hello, Teddy. I need you to check an IP address for me. I have a phone number."

"Send it to me. I happen to be in the company."

Ivan sent Yanis's phone number and said, "Hurry. It's urgent."

"What has happened?"

"A friend of mine should have been kidnapped."

"That's bold. In broad daylight?"

Ivan walked quickly toward the parking lot, asking, "Have you found it?"

"Wait a minute... Ivan, it's in a small town in the west of the city. A hotel named Pacific Baron Hotel."

Ivan thanked him, "Send me the address. I will invite you to dinner another day as thanking you."

"That's not necessary, we are friends," Teddy Doyle sent the detailed location to Ivan. "If you need help, call me."

Ivan hung up the phone, and headed for the west of the city.

Even though he was driving at the fastest speed possible, it would take him about half an hour to get there.

Ivan recalled the conversation he had just heard and hesitated for a few seconds. Ivan called Zane.

Zane looked as usual. "Her friend came to pick her up. I'm going to the company."

Said Zane as he took the car key from the table and hurriedly left.

On the other side, Albi had sent Lucia back to the Lawrence's Manson. He immediately checked Phoebe's whereabouts.

After the check, Albi called Zane back.

"Sir, Miss Phoebe's not in Manches City. She has left with Lady Rachel's to her hometown."

Zane frowned upon hearing Albi's words. "Check Phoebe's phone call records and her credit card expenses."

Although Albi was puzzled, he did as he was asked.

"Mr. Lawrence, Miss Phoebe transferred someone 500, 000 dollars in the early morning, maybe she was shopping?"

"In the early morning?"

Albi was stunned and quickly responded, "I'll check it again."

"Fine me Yanis location first."

Albi nodded.

When he found where Yanis's phone was, he was stunned and hesitated to tell Zane.

"Have you found it?"

"Yes, sir. Mrs. Lawrence's in a hotel named Pacific Baron Hotel in the west of the city."

"I remember we have a land being developed there?"

Albi nodded, "We have just got the land last year and the construction's ongoing."

"Ask someone there to go to the hotel. Send him Yanis's phone and have him watch her closely."

Albi could sense that something was wrong and replied, "Yes, sir."
