Yanis shook her head lightly. "No."
Hearing Yanis' response, Anika suddenly lost control of her tears. "Yanis... I..."
Before saying anything, Anika's sobbed.
Yanis looked at Anika, whose face was full of tears, and hugged her. "It's okay, you didn't scare me last night."
Anika hugged Yanis tightly, crying, she said, "Yanis, can you not divorce Zane?"
Yanis didn't expect Anika to say such words.
After a long silence, Yanis patted Anika on the back lightly, "Some decisions are not made one-sided/"
Anika let go of Yanis, raised her hand, and wiped the tears on her face. "Yanis, Zane doesn't like Neve. He has nothing to do with Neve."
Yanis looked at Anika and said softly, "Anika, Zane doesn't like me, I... I don't like him anymore, so we should both move on. He has his life to live. So do I."
Anika wanted to say something, but she failed to open her mouth.
She knew that no one would believe her except Zane.
Even Lucia scolded her at the time, asking how could she do such a shameful thing.
Even her mother didn't believe her. How could she expect others to believe her?
Thinking of this, Anika hugged Yanis again, "I only accept you to be my sister-in-law, forever and always."
Yanis hugged her and patted her gently without saying anything.
After calming down, Anika let go of Yanis, "Yanis, wait for a second"
Anika went to the guest room and soon came out with a small box. "Yanis, this is for you."
Yanis looked at the box Anika handed over, which looked somewhat familiar. "What is this?"
Then Yanis reached out and took the box.
Anika sat down beside Yanis, "Did Zane give you the thing I asked him to bring you?"
Hearing what Anika said, Yanis finally remembered why the box looked familiar.
Yanis nodded, "Yes, it's in the room."
She didn't take it with her when she left that day, and after returning from M Country, she never visited D-king Castle.
The box was still here.
"I made those paper arts recently. They are all about you."
Yanis opened the box and looked at the silhouettes of various colors, each looked vivid.
She was smiling at every one of them.
"Is it complicated to make them?"
"Not really. You are the first humanoid silhouette I made. Before, I only did landscapes and animals." Anika took out a silhouette of Yanis from the box, "I had some trouble at the beginning. Your smile was the hard part."
Hearing Anika's words, Yanis suddenly remembered something. She looked at Anika, "When did you first see me?"
"Five years ago, the night you and Zane got married."
Yanis was lost in thought when she heard Anika's answer.
"Yanis, do you still like Zane now?"
Yanis pursed her lower lip, closed the box, put it on the table, and then said softly, "I don't like him anymore. I can't like him anymore."
Five years was enough time for a change. She failed to make him fall for her. Therefore, she gave up.
"Yanis, do you really want to divorce Zane?"
"Anika." Yanis turned to look at her, "When Zane and I got married, we agreed that five years later, when Neve comes back, we will divorce."
Just as Anika was about to say something, someone opened the door. Anika couldn't stop talking.
Sophia and Catherine walked in.
Then Lucia and Zane entered.
Yanis couldn't help but frown the moment she saw Lucia.
"Yanis, how are you? Does your hand still hurt?" As soon as Catherine saw Yanis, she asked about Yanis' hand.
Yanis responded, "Grandma, I am all right."
Catherine turned to look at Sophia, "Where are the stuffs, I asked you to bring?"
"In the bag." Sophia responded, and took out a box of medicine from the bag in her hand, "Lady Yanis, Catherine ordered this ointment especially for you. It's very helpful. It would reduce the risk of having scars."
Yanis reached out to take the ointment from Sophia, "Thank you, grandma."
Catherine pulled Yanis to sit down on the sofa. Looking again at Yanis' hands, she asked, "Have you changed the ointment today?"
Before Yanis could speak, Catherine turned around and looked at Zane, "Zane, dress Yanis's wound with this new ointment. She'll recover faster."
