Margaret almost spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Why are you coming to Haverland, you little rascal?"
"To see you, of course."
"B*llshit!" Margaret suddenly turned serious. "I'm telling you, don't come back. I beg you, please!"
"I can't do that. I've already announced my return on my official account. Okay, I've got to go. Remember to wait for me tomorrow!" After that, he hung up the phone.
Margaret looked at the dim screen and suddenly let out a wail.
After lying in bed for a moment, Margaret sat up and typed into the search bar.
Elvis Austin.
Sure enough, the studio's official account had released the news about Elvis coming back to Haverland.
Many female fans were already fangirling under the post.
Elvis was extremely popular and was the audience favorite.
His portfolio wasn't extensive, but he shot to fame quickly. When he debuted, he became viral all over the country with just one music video.
Then, the TV series he filmed was also an overnight success. The show received tons of awards and attracted countless fans.
He was more than just a pretty face for fans to gawk at.
His acting was just as good as his looks.
Two years ago, he had gone to Milesburg to further his studies, and it was only now did he announce his return.
His fans, of course, were waiting excitedly for him.
Therefore, when he announced his return, his fans were naturally over the moon.
However, Margaret felt that she was going to get in trouble.
...
"Your flight's tomorrow?" Charleston slightly lifted his eyebrows in his enormous office.
"Yes, Uncle Charles, but you don't have to pick me up. I will find a place to stay." Elvis coughed softly.
Charleston said calmly, "Do you think I would care about you if it wasn't for your mother's constant nagging?"
Elvis raised the corner of his mouth a little.
"Also, your mother said that even if you return to Haverland, she'll find a girlfriend for you. So, don't you think about escaping from blind dates even after returning." Charleston said again.
When Elvis heard those words, he wanted to shrivel up and die.
The whole reason why he even came back in the first place was because he didn't want to be forced into a marriage he didn't agree to.
He did not expect that his mother would actually ask his uncle to torture him too.
"Uncle, you're single too. You don't even have a girlfriend. So what hurry do I have to be in?" Elvis felt unfair.
"Well, when you get to where I am in life, no one will nag you for it." Charleston chuckled.
Get to where his uncle was in life?
Even at such a young age, his uncle had already managed most of the Western economy. He was known to be the finance boss, who had a stake in both legal and black markets.
He was exceptional!
Elvis thought it would be better to just be a normal person.
"Uncle, in fact, I already have a girlfriend. We met online, and she is in Haverland!" Elvis whispered.
"Really?" Charleston raised his eyebrows.
"Of course. If you don't believe me, I'll bring her to you." Elvis rolled his eyes.
Charleston said with a smile, "Okay, then let's meet on the night you return to Haverland."
"Okay."
...
The phone was vibrating on the table.
She arrived at the airport.
Although Elvis's official account said he would get off the plane at eight o'clock, there were already quite a number of fans waiting outside the airport.
She took a good look at the crowd of fangirls.
The banner in their hand was very attractive to look at.
No one knew if Elvis had already arranged this in advance, but Margaret had successfully entered the airport.
No one even tried to stop her.
When she pushed open the lounge door, Margaret saw a figure sitting on a chair.
Unlike Charleston's handsome, mature face, Elvis's charisma leaned towards the typical high school heart-throb more.
In the words of his fans, he was a well-kept and morose prince.
Morose her a*s!
God knew how fed up Margaret was when she saw him acting cool with his melancholic face and when he occasionally swore.
Such a terrible contrast burned her eyes.
"Maggie, long time no see. Did you miss me?" Elvis's eyes beamed when he saw Margaret. He opened his arms and was about to rush to her.
Margaret immediately took off her hat and stopped him. She said with a very serious expression, "Stay right there!"
Elvis raised his hands and pretended to surrender, "I haven't seen you in so long. Are you sure you don't want a loving hug?"
"Didn't you say before that you didn't want to return to Haverland?"
The first time they met was at a bar, and this fellow swore he would never come back for the rest of his life.
"If I don't come back, my mother will force me to marry some foreign girl." Elvis sighed with sadness. "Maggie, do me another favour!"
"What favour?"
"My mother asked my uncle to keep an eye on me. Pretend to be my girlfriend and lie to my uncle for me!" Elvis said while grinning.
