Hitched & Hitched Again: A Comedy of Marital Mayhem novel Chapter 1878

If Tarquin suspected something, there was absolutely a reason for it.

Frowning heavily, Keaton asked, "What has he done?"

Tarquin replied, "During the holidays, he made a handcrafted, romantic cake specifically for Elysia. Just looking at it, it was obvious his intentions weren't normal."

Keaton was stunned.

"That's why you were asking for pictures in the group chat that day?"

Tarquin nodded.

"Yeah. I'm convinced he's infatuated with Elysia. The way he looks at her isn't right."

"On top of that, both Winona and Elysia feel naturally repulsed by him. A man who makes both of them feel deeply uneasy, yet is simultaneously obsessed with Elysia... the only person who fits that profile is Zane."

Tarquin added with a heavy sigh,

"Never underestimate a woman's intuition. Sometimes it's terrifyingly accurate."

Keaton looked downright shocked. "Are you saying Jae-hyun Kim *is* Zane Livingston?!"

Tarquin didn't confirm or deny it.

"I don't know for sure. But I am certain Jae-hyun and Zane are connected somehow. Keeping our guard up around him is the safest bet."

Keaton's face grew dangerously dark. For Winona, Zane was the ultimate nightmare!

If given even the slightest opportunity, Zane would absolutely try to kill her!

But how could Jae-hyun be Zane?

How could one person entirely become someone else?

Even with extreme plastic surgery, there would have to be *some* anomalies, wouldn't there?

"Have you run a DNA test to confirm his identity?"

Tarquin shook his head.

"No. He's incredibly cautious. To avoid tipping him off, I haven't made any aggressive moves yet. But I did secretly run a fingerprint comparison. The results confirmed he really is Jae-hyun Kim, not Zane."

Keaton fell silent.

He stood there, brow locked in a deep furrow, thinking for a long moment. He tried to suppress the urge, but finally caved and looked at Tarquin.
