His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 717

Four hours later—

Niamh and Lance said their goodbyes at the diner’s entrance.

“I’m not asking for an immediate answer. Take a few days to think it over, and just contact me when you’ve made a decision.”

“Okay, okay…” Lance said, rubbing the back of his neck, his cheeks slightly flushed. “Well, goodbye, Ms. Rivers.”

“Goodbye.”

After watching Lance walk back into The Imperial Tower, Niamh turned around and finally noticed Jonathan, who was still standing quietly against the window.

“What are you doing here?”

Jonathan turned to meet her surprised gaze and said simply, “I was waiting for you.”

“You stood here for four hours just to wait for me?”

“Yes,” Jonathan nodded decisively.

“Then why didn’t you wait in the car?”

Jonathan strode closer to Niamh, stopping just half a step away and lowering his head slightly.

For a moment, Niamh thought his forehead was going to touch hers.

“Because I was hoping it would touch you.”

His eyes, so close to hers, sparkled like stars, and his elegant, thin lips curved into a faint smile.

Niamh couldn't shake the feeling that Jonathan was deliberately trying to seduce her.

“Then I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you.”

Niamh pushed him away with feigned indifference and walked toward the car.

Jonathan followed her step for step, a wry smile on his face.

By the time they returned to the city, it was almost dinnertime.

“Would you like to have dinner together?” Jonathan’s tone was gentle, his attitude sincere.

But Niamh shook her head.

“No, thanks. I have plans with Quentin. We’re eating at the company cafeteria.”

As Niamh was about to get out of the car, Jonathan suddenly grabbed her wrist.

Her long lashes fluttered up as she looked at him.

A flicker of reluctance crossed Jonathan's eyes.
