His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 723

The next morning, bright and early, Gabe hopped onto Twitter to clear the air. His post read: "Miss Allysha and I are just friends, nothing more. There's been no cheating, no third wheel, and certainly no betrayal. The woman in the photo is just a friend too. I urge the media to stop jumping to conclusions and creating unnecessary drama."

He tagged Allysha in the post, and she retweeted it, adding, "Let's all move on, please."

Dillon was quick to spot the tweet and showed it to Casper.

"Mr. Casper, the online gossip about your wife has practically vanished. Gabe's statement has helped clear things up. I reckon he's figured out who you are and will steer clear of Mrs. Casper from now on."

Casper trusted that Gabe was a smart guy. Smart guys know their limits and wouldn't mess with a married woman.

"Alright, I'm heading out to pick up Elle," Casper said.

"Need me to tag along?" Dillon asked.

Casper waved him off, "I got this."

"Got it."

Eliza wasn't much of a social media fan. She had no clue that her hiking trip with Gabe had been the talk of the town online, nor did she know the situation was already smoothing over.

When Casper arrived to pick her up, she had just finished packing.

"Hey, you're here." Her spirits seemed untouched by the online buzz, and the few days away had given her a nice glow. "Did you get everything sorted at work?"

Casper flashed a gentle smile and pulled her in for a hug, "How'd you sleep last night?"

"Pretty well, and you?" She looked up at him, her eyes crinkling as she spotted the dark circles under his eyes, "You don't look like you did."

"I slept fine," he said, his fingers gently tracing her lips before landing a quick kiss. "I just missed you a lot. Got everything packed?"

"Yep, all set. Ready to head back?"

What younger guy? Caught on camera?

Eliza frowned and typed back, "What are you even talking about?"

"You seriously don’t know? Open the link and see for yourself. Your name was trending yesterday. I tried calling, but your phone was off. Mr. Casper at your place must be losing it."

Eliza was completely baffled. She glanced at Casper, who seemed perfectly normal. What kind of news could make such a fuss?

With a bit of hesitation, she tapped the link. As the page loaded, the headline made her gasp.

#Allysha's boyfriend caught cheating, cozy with another woman, sparks flying.

The sensational and suggestive headline was a recipe for wild speculations.
