Prep for the party Dominic’s mind was messed up.It was hard to keep his face straight all the while he was listening to Nathan.

Athena has special blood.

What was that supposed to mean? She was just a rogue.

A filthy little thief who tried to steal from him years ago.

How can she have special blood? Was it some kind of joke that the moon goddess was playing with him? Wasn’t it enough that she paired him with a rogue and now this? But he can’t just let this go.

He needs to take a look into it.

But he can‘t do it among all these.

Tomorrow is the party.

He needs to concentrate on that.

But after that’s over he will have to do something about that.

He was thinking about all these as he kept walking out the pack house toward his mansion when he suddenly bumped with someone.

The person he bumped with was going to fall down but he was fast enough to catch that person.

He wrapped his hand around the person’s waist Immediately after that the familiar scent which was enough to make his mind go numb.

He looked at the person in his arms and got lost there.

What does she have to get him captivated like this all the time? Was it her beauty? The mate bond? Or what? He doesn’t know but it does something inside his heart every time she comes i n front of him.

They both were lost in each other’s eyes.

They couldn‘t think straight as their scents involved themselves around.

Last but not the least, their heartbeat was beating together at the same time.

They were completely lost in a maze.

But Athena was the one who came out of that maze the fastest and she immediately pushed herself away from him.

She created a good amount of distance as she stood away from him.

He frowned seeing her doing that before clenching his fist.

He didn‘t like her actions.

He didn’t like how she put distance between them and stood in the distance from him.

He wanted t o pull her back to his arms and punish her from going away.

But he stopped himself with difficulty and masked his expression with blankness.

"I am sorry.Excuse me."

She whispered out without looking at him before trying to walk past him.

He frowned seeing her acting so quiet.She is usually always up for a fight.

But now she was so calm and worried.

What happened to her? He felt a pinch in his heart thinking of anything that might have made her worried.

He felt desperate to know that.

"Stop!"

He ordered and she immediately stopped and looked at him with a frown.

"It’s okay.I am okay with it.I don‘t have any problems.I will look for some work to help them and if there isn’t anything, I will cook food for them.They might be tired after all the work." Athena spoke up in a calm and neutral tone.

Nobody can understand what’s going on inside her head.

"See! She is so happy.That must be because she is working for the party of her future Luna.She is happy for us, right Athena?" Stacey asked in a taunting tone.

"Sure, Stacey.I am very happy for you and Dominic.You guys suit each other so perfectly that I can‘t help but be happy for you both.You both look like the pair made in heaven.Perfect match for each other from every aspect.Of course, I am very happy for you both." Athena said with a sweet smile while looking directly into Dominic‘s eyes.

But Dominic could clearly see the smirk and taunt right past her fake smile.

"Excuse me, guys.I will go to work now." Athena said in the same sweet tone before walking toward the pack house again but Dominic caught her by her right upper arm and stopped her.

"Didn’t you hear me when I said you aren‘t going there? You are not going there!" Dominic growled in anger while tightening his hold around her arm.

She let out a small hiss.

"But–..."

Athena and Stacey tried to object at the same time but Dominic cut them off.

"I don’t want to hear any more words from both of you.Stacey, come with me to the office.I want to discuss something with you.And you."

He glared at Athena.

"Suzanne and Patricia are looking for you.Help them with their work.I don’t want to see you near here."

He ordered before leaving her hand and walked back to the pack house.

Stacey followed after him fast after glaring at him one last time.

Athena let out a sigh after they left.

Dominic just ruined her plan!
