"D.Dominic.I .I .found a way to heal you."

Athena cried out in happiness as she got inside the room and fell on the bed, on top of him.She couldn’t control her happiness after finding out the way of healing him.

"Oh my god! I am so happy! B…but… But it needs… It needs me to mark you." She mumbled out in a nervous tone.

"I.I am scared, Dominic… I am very scared." She cried out softly.

"If… If…after waking up… You don’t take your rejection back, if… if you ever reject me again… I am going to die, Dominic.I am going t o turn into ashes.Did you hear me?" She asked while shaking him by the collar of his shirt.

"I…I know, I trust you.Trust me, I trust you a lot.I am ready to die for you.But I don’t want the death of betrayal.I am not going to get peace even after dying like that." She cried while keeping her head on his chest.

She suddenly raised her head and looked at him in determination while wiping her tears away.

"So, at this moment, I am putting my life at the power of your palm again.You either protect it in the strong fist of yours or crush it under the strong fist of your." She said as her eyes glowed red like some burning fire and her canines came out.

"I am sorry for marking you without your permission.Hope you know why I am doing this and understand me…"

She stopped i n the middle of completing her sentence.She was deciding if she should complete it or not.

"I love you." She mumbled out at last, thinking what if she gets this opportunity again or not.

With that thought, she lowered her head near his neck.

She didn’t let any other thoughts block her mind and inserted her canines a t the flesh of the crook of his neck, marking him under the bright moonlight, keeping the moon goddess as a witness.

"UGH!!"

A loud growl grumbled under her and she quickly pulled herself away to find Dominic groaning in pain.

He moved his face and body a little while slowly opening his eyes.

"Do… Dominic! Dominic! You are awake! You woke up! Oh my god! This actually worked!" She exclaimed out in happiness.

"A… Athena…"

He mumbled out after a few adjustments with the sudden surroundings.

"Yes yes, Dominic… You want to tell me something?" She asked with a worried frown, not ready to hear anything from him.

"Ye…yes…" he breathed out.

"What is it? No, wait. That can wait.First, let me give you water.Are you feeling any pain? Do you want me to call the doctor?" She blubbered out in worry.

She was overwhelmed with feelings which weren’t letting her think properly.

"Shh shh… I want to tell you this now."

He opened his eyes widely and looked at her in the eyes while breathing hard.

"No, that can wait, Dominic." She said in an adamant tone, she didn’t want to hear anything from him.

She was scared of some disaster if he said something wrong.

"This can’t wait anymore.This has to be done now only.I have waited long enough.I have taken enough time.Not anymore." He said in a serious tone.

His tone showed that he wasn’t going to listen to anyone.

"Do… Dominic… I… Don’t think you know or not but…… I am going to die if you reject-…"

She started to mumble out when he shut her up with a kiss and when he pulled back from the kiss, his next set of words silenced her completely.

"I, alpha of alphas of South region, Alpha Dominic, I take back my rejection and accept you, Athena, as my mate, if you accept our mate bond as well."

He voiced out in a large and clear tone while looking her in the eyes.She cried out softly after his words registered on his head.

"I what? L I thought you were going to reject me…"

"How could you even think so, Athena? How could you think that I would reject you after all these?" He asked while sitting up and looking at him with teary eyes.

"I was scared… Dominic." She couldn’t stop the tears from falling down.

"Shh don’t cry.Don’t think I am ever going to leave you again.You are mine.I am never going to let you go." He said while pulling her on his chest and hugging her in an assuring way.

"Did you take the rejection back because."

She couldn’t help but wonder if he was doing this as a payback 

"No It hurts to know that you think I took the rejection back because you saved my life.But that’s not true.The day all these happened, I went out for a run to think of ways to win you back again and that’s when I realised the mistake I was making.As soon as I realised it, I was on my way to run back to the pack but I was attacked" He explained.

"You plan to take back the reaction that day only?" She asked with happy tears.

"Yes, my love." He said with a big smile.

"Oh my goodness! You don’t know what a big relief it is to know that." She exclaimed in happiness while throwing her arms around him.

"Thank you so much for saving my life, Athena," He said in a grateful tone while wrapping his hands tightly around her.

"How couldn’t I? You are my mate, Dominic.You are my everything.I would have died if something had happened to you."

She mumbled out on his chest as the tears kept rolling down her eyes.

"But you haven’t replied to me yet."

He suddenly spoke up, making her confused.

"About what?"

"What are those times when you felt helpless the most?" She asked in a soft tone.

She could feel his heartbeat increase and lips tremble.She understood it wasn’t a good experience.She got up and sat on his lap on her own and wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his neck on her chest.She wanted him to hear her heartbeat which might help him calm down.

"The times when you cried on my chest, I felt the most helpless that time.I felt so angry that I couldn’t hold you back and stop you from crying.I tried so hard to break free the curse but couldn’t and that’s when I felt most helpless.Apart from that, I could feel how restless you all were with the pack issues and I couldn’t do anything to help you all.It was very painful as well because I felt like I was failing you all as your Alpha."

He said as his voice trembled and his hold tightened around her as if he started to feel his body unable to move just like when he was in the coma.

"Don’t think like that.You are the best alpha anyone could get and your friends and pack members know that as well." Athena said in a strong tone while making him look him in the eyes.

She wanted him to believe what she just said.

The small smile on his face told him that he believed her.

"These are times when I felt happy and grateful.To know how much I meant to my friends was really great.I always knew they loved me but this incident proved it once again and I am very grateful to my pack members as well for knowing from you that they were ready to fight for me to protect me.I can’t thank the moon goddess enough for this." He said in a happy tone while snuggling close to her The position was like heaven to him.

Her on his lap, their arms wrapped around themselves.

Their heart beating in sync and what else they could ask for? 

"Yes, you are very lucky to have them as your pack members.And I am very lucky to have you as my mate."

"I should be the one to say that."

"Was there any time when you enjoyed being in your state?"

"Of course." He said with a smirk, making her look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Really? When?"

"When you used to blabber sweet things to me, thinking I wasn’t listening.And the time, when you used to look at me and touch m e lustfully in the name of changing the bandage." He teased and her eyes widened hearing him.

"Dominic!"

"What? Are you going to deny that you didn’t enjoy touching my hot body!?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No!" She flushed red hearing him.

"Okay, then, I remember we had a deal." He said with a smirk, making her confused.

"What deal?" She asked.

"That I am going to return all your touches back to you as a payment for healing me." He said while wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her on his lap.

"What?! No! This wasn’t the deal-…!"

"Shh…now I am going to return all your touches back to you."
