Leo directly took Emily's hand and did not give her a chance to dodge.
Through the efforts of the past few days, Leo had been close to Emily. But today, Leo felt as if they had back to times, and she began to reject all the care and contact from him.
But Leo regarded it as a sign of no such thing and continued to move on.
Emily was forcibly brought to the restaurant. She had been looking for a variety of reasons to avoid it. But Leo denied it, as if nothing was as important as this dinner.
Emily was afraid her mother would see something wrong.
"Aren’t you afraid to get fat to eat at this late hour?"
Emily complained, she just wanted to go home immediately, and then shut herself in the bedroom.
"It will not happen. If you get fat with a meal, you are easy to raise."
Her mother denied Emily's words.
"You're too thin. If a meal can make you fat, I'll be thankful for it. Women are better with more weight."
Leo said. It did not matter to him whether Emily was fat or thin, as long as she was healthy.
"See, Leo is likable, the girl certainly likes..."
Emily’s mother praised Leo deliberately, to let her daughter realize Leo was a good man. If Emily was reserved, this good man might become someone else's man.
However, in front of Emily, Leo could not accept such praise.
"Christine, I don't have girls like me. Even if there are girls like me, I don't like them. I only like Emily. If she doesn't marry me, I'll stay single forever."
Leo said jokingly, but these words were from his heart.
Just like Brian to Winnie, his love for Emily was true.
Brain could stay single all his life, and so could he. Even if Brain could not do it, Leo could do it. He would love her for a lifetime and was willing to do anything for her.
"Emily, did you hear me? Don't you feel happy? You're lucky to have a man who's willing to be single for you. Even if he can't do that, it's comforting to hear."
Emily’s mother joked. She was touched that Emily met Leo who was sincere, but Emily did not accept Leo.
"Christine, it is not a joke. I can do it."
Leo said and he would keep his words.
"Boring, you're boring. We came out to eat, and if you don't eat, I'm going."
Emily did not know how to face the present situation. She wanted to believe Leo's words, but she dare not.
"Eat, eat at once."
Leo hurried to stop the conversation, afraid of Emily’s leaving out of anger.
But when their food was served, Emily felt sick again. She stifled to the bathroom and came out after a while.
"What's the matter?”
Leo asked with worry, looking at Emily's pale face.
"Nothing, I just have a headache."
Emily explained, dare not look into Leo’s eyes.
"Let me take you to the hospital for a checkup."
Leo said and stood up, but Emily’s father stopped him.
"It's just a headache. No need to go to the hospital."
"Emily, hang on. We'll eat and go home, and then you'll take some medicine."
Emily’s father felt Emily didn't look serious, and it was rare for four people to eat out. Leo was so happy that he couldn't bear to spoil Leo's fun.
"Well, I'm fine. Go on eating."
Emily did not want people to suspect her.
It was hard to endure, but she did it.
After dinner, Leo insisted on sending Emily home. With Emily’s parents’ support, Emily could only agree Leo to send her home.
After they arrived, Leo sent Emily back to the bedroom and got her medicine end water.
"Take the medicine first."
Leo handed the water and medicine to Emily.
Emily did not speak, but put the water and medicine aside.
"I don't have a headache now. I don't need medicine."
"Leo, go back, I am tired, I want some sleep."
Penny was getting worse rather than better. For the time being, the pain was not unbearable to her, but she had intermittent pain but not a lot.
But she was losing weight fast and she looked pale.
Oscar was more and more worried, but he could do nothing to help.
At noon today, Oscar personally made Penny nutritious food. When he was in the kitchen, Penny came over.
"What are you cooking? It smells good. It makes me hungry."
Penny lifted the cover of the pan to see what was inside, and it only makes her mouth water.
"It will be ready in a moment. Next time I'll cook earlier so you can eat before you're hungry."
Oscar was busy while chatting with Penny.
"Oscar, I don't know how to thank you for staying with me at this time."
Penny said emotionally. She had contacted with many people, but in the end, only Oscar was with her.
Was that a failure?
"There's nothing to be thankful for, and I haven't done anything. Go to the table and eat."
Oscar was gratified by Penny's thanks. At any rate, from this point, Penny had a heart of gratitude and she was not that ruthless.
Oscar only hoped that Penny would be more relaxed when she passed away and that she would not die with hatred.
But her gratitude was directed only at Oscar, which made Oscar feel helpless.
Penny obediently sat at the table, waiting for Oscar's lunch. Just then the doorbell rang and the nurse went to open the door.
Penny thought it was Winnie, in addition to Winnie, no one came to be scolded by her.
Penny was ready to be angry, got up and went to the living room.
But it was actually Gloria.
Gloria did not give Penny time to react but directly loudly reprimanded her.
"Are you satisfied? You must be satisfied now. I broke up with Brain because of you.”
"You are a dying man. Why do such things to harm others and not benefit yourself? Why don't you be afraid of going to hell after death?"
"Penny, I curse you to die early. You come to this world, but no one said a good word about you. No one would miss you if you were dead."
