Vanessa then looked at Rufus.
"Rufus, it was you picked me up in this period and got delicious food ready for me. You helped me a lot and I will always remember it. Don't worry, I'll come and see you often even though I move to school."
Vanessa was sorry, but Rufus felt depressed.
Vanessa was not an outsider, she was also a Bennet. The family was supposed to be hers, and now she was the only outsider.
Rufus sure would be worried if she moved out, but what could he do? He could not say the identity of Vanessa at this time.
Even if he said it out now, Vanessa would still move out.
Vanessa did not lie, she did leave for her sister. But there was someone spoke for Winnie that day, Vanessa would not leave with disappointment.
"Ok, I am ok with it. I don’t think it is trouble for me to take care of you, but I feel it a pleasure. Visit me on weekends. I have been used to having you here, so I will miss you if you move out."
Rufus said sadly. He could not keep Vanessa stay selfishly. The situation of the Bennet family would certainly hurt Vanessa. Brian went out on a blind date, if Vanessa knew it, she would be upset for her sister.
"Thank you for your understanding. I will come to see you when I am available."
Hearing what Rufus said, Vanessa finally breathed a sigh of relief. She loved the people here, she love this family, but she could not live here, because she did not want to see her sister to be discriminated against.
Brian had his blind date in a top western restaurant. Only when he arrived he knew his blind date was Gloria. That made it easier for him.
"I didn't expect it is you."
He then took a sip of red wine.
"You agreed to a blind date without knowing who it was?"
Gloria’s voice was enchanting and sweet as she had drank two catty of honey.
Brian's ignorance surprised her.
"It doesn't matter to me who the blind date is. As long as my grandfather set it up, I can't say no, so it doesn't matter who it is."
Brian was helpless, but it was just an excuse. No matter who the woman was, it could not change the fact that he loved Winnie.
"It seems that you don’t want this blind date."
Gloria laughed charmingly.
"Yes, but I am glad that it is you."
Brian made no secret of his feelings.
Then he said what he thought about this blind date.
"You've worked with my firm and you know I have a lover. So my blind date with you was just a formality. I'll go back and tell Grandpa..."
"Wait, you mean it is just formality?"
Gloria interrupted his words still charmingly.
"Yes, it is."
Brian was sure.
"Then after this blind date, you will have another blind date, right?"
Gloria continued to ask, as if thinking about something.
"Yes, there will be many."
Brian answered blankly. He knew Gloria that she would not betray him.
"Good, I was forced to go on blind dates again and again too."
Gloria showed a look of sympathy for fellow sufferers.
"And?"
Brian knew what Gloria said did not meant literally, she must have something to say.
"I'm already in a relationship with a star in the entertainment industry. But my parents don't allow me to have a showbiz boyfriend, let alone to marry him, so I was forced to go on blind dates."
"We have the same experience and I think we can work together."
Gloria put forward her own opinion, but was afraid that Brian would refuse.
"Why did you choose me instead of someone else to work with?"
Although Gloria's idea was good, Brian wanted to know why.
"It is simple, why you asked? You don’t seem this stupid."
Gloria made fun of Brian, and then told him her reason.
"One is that I want to work with someone, but nobody wants to help me, so I said we have the same experience. The second reason is that you are good enough. My parents would like you as a son-in-law."
"I think these two reasons are enough. As long as we cooperate with each other, we don't have to go on blind dates anymore."
"You can be with Winnie, and I can be with the person I love."
"The person you love is Winnie, right?"
Gloria added and only she knew why she asked such a question.
"Yes, the person I love is Winnie."
"I think your idea is feasible, but I have condition. No matter how our parents urge us to get engaged or get married, we should not agree."
Brian felt it could avoid a lot of trouble from blind date.
Winnie tried as far as possible to calm herself, but there was mixed feelings in her heart.
Back then, Brian and Penny had a contractual relationship, and in the end, they hated each other. It didn't take long that Brian had an agreement with another woman.
Wasn’t Brian afraid it was a conspiracy, which would hurt Winnie?
Daenerys was right. As long as she was not Brian’s wife, she would have to suffer unknown harm. Wendy had not been solved, a new woman showed up.
Alas...... How could her life be like this? Why couldn’t it be calm?
The next morning Winnie went to work, and took Vanessa away with her necessity.
Rufus went into Vanessa's room. Although there was no lack of something, he still felt empty. It was not that the house was empty, but his heart was empty.
He did not take good care of his own daughter, but made her disappointed. She would rather move out than to live with him.
As soon as Brian arrived at his office by his elevator, the phone rang.
"What is it?”
Brian asked in a cold voice.
"Mr. Bennet, Miss Chambers has been here for a while. She's been waiting for you outside and wants to see you.”
The secretary reported formulaically. She did not dare to let Wendy into the president's office without Brian's permission.
He sighed before he made his decision.
"Let her in."
Speaking of Wendy, he now thought of Jonny and felt angry about it.
When Wendy pushed the door in, Brian was still angry at Jonny. When Wendy spoke, he came to himself.
“Brian.”
"What are you doing here?"
Brian frowned and looked cold. It seemed that what happened that day was new and he had not made enough warning to Wendy.
"First, I'm sorry, you must be very angry Jonny was rude to Winnie. I came here today to explain it to you."
Wendy was embarrassed, because of Brian's cold attitude.
"There is nothing to explain. I have said all that needs to be said. Just don’t do that again.”
He was sure that it was related to Wendy, so there was no need to explain.
"Brian, I called you, but you didn't answer my phone. When you came back, I came to you, but you said you were busy and didn't want to see me. I managed to see you today, so I will explain it whether you want to hear it or not."
