Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 347

Austin furrowed his brows and asked curtly, "Is there anything else?"

Sensing his annoyance, Sharon immediately shook her head. "No. I'll leave you be, Mr. Hall." She nodded at him and left his office.

The moment she shut the door, she clutched her wildly beating heart. She took a deep breath and said, "That was terrifying."

For a moment there, she thought that Austin was going to fire her.

Yet she thought about how he was planning a surprise for her, so he wouldn't have fired her.

Sharon shook her head to clear her mind of these thoughts. She couldn't help but smile. All she had to do was wait for Austin's surprise. With that thought in mind, she trotted back to her office in delight.

Austin didn't know what Sharon was thinking. At that moment, he took his phone and sent a message to Gabriel. "Send a bouquet of roses to Mrs. Hall."

Gabriel soon replied. "Okay."

Suzanne was busy in the office. There was a problem with the emerald she needed for the necklace. She couldn't find the correct color of the emerald that she wanted. If she couldn't find it, the piece wouldn't have the desired effect during the competition.

She came out of the storage room and walked over to her desk to drink some water. It was only then did she regain some clarity.

Macey went up to her and asked with some worry, "Ms. Yates, have you not found it?"

Quite a lot of people in the design department knew that Suzanne was looking for a specific type of emerald. It was not strange of Macey to ask her that question.

Suzanne sat on the chair to rest for a while and nodded at Macey. "Mhm."

She had been to the Yates Corporation's gemstone storage room in the past. Previously, there were still suitable ones, but they were all gone in the past few days.

Although Yates Corporation received a lot of orders, it was not to the point where the stock of good gemstones would be depleted this quickly.

Suzanne glared at Seline. Did Seline know what she was doing by hiding the gemstones?

If Suzanne's work did not end up winning, it would not only affect her but also the company. Seline was too reckless.

Seline noticed Suzanne's hostile glare. She was a little taken aback and unhappy about it. What was that bitch glaring at her for?

She suppressed her irritation and asked Suzanne, "Sue, do you want to have lunch with me?" She added with a gentle and concerned tone, "I know you've recently been kicked out by Dad…"

She immediately covered her mouth as if she had let slip something she shouldn't have said. Then, she looked around carefully.

Some of the people there were surprised by what Seline said. Had Suzanne been kicked out of the house by Henry?

Immediately, their attitude toward Suzanne changed. A woman who had been kicked out by her father could not be any decent.
