The doctor sighed helplessly and said, "There is one last solution you could try out."
Cindy's eyes sparkled instantly. She asked the doctor with surprise and excitement, "Really? What is it?"
Things could turn around as there was a solution.
Nodding, the doctor said, "Dr. Jane Smith—she could save your father."
Jane Smith was a legendary figure, the idol of many doctors.
Cindy was stunned. She looked at the doctor doubtfully and asked, "Can she really do it?" She had seen the reality show and knew who Jane was. She thought that Jane was just something like a character that the studio behind the reality show created. She never thought that Jane was real.
The doctor nodded seriously and said, "Yes. She has treated many tricky and difficult conditions. If you get her to help, she could probably treat your father."
At that moment, the ember of hope lit up in Cindy. She got up from the floor and thanked the doctor profusely, "Thank you, doctor. I know what I should do now."
The doctor waved his hand. "You're welcome. It's all up to you now." Then, he advised Cindy on a few things to note while caring for her father before leaving the ward.
Cindy looked at Kendall in bed and walked over to him. Wiping away her tears, she held his hand and said, "Dad, you're going to be treated!"
Since the doctor claimed that Jane was real, she was going to bring Jane over to have a look at Kendall. Cindy beamed with hope in her eyes. She was willing to do anything to get Jane to treat her father.
She quickly picked up her phone and sent her secretary, Jamie Walton, a message. "Get me all the information you can get on Dr. Jane Smith."
Soon, Jamie replied. "On it."
…
Suzanne was surprised and immediately went to stop Cindy from kneeling.
Many passersby started looking at them, but Cindy was still sobbing. "My father is unconscious in the hospital, and the doctors can't do anything. They've even issued a critical illness notice. I took so much effort to find you."
Cindy was worried that Suzanne wouldn't agree to it, so she added, "As long as you can cure my father, you can name your price."
Suzanne furrowed her brows as she pulled Cindy up to stop her from kneeling. "Get up. Who's your father and what's his situation? Explain it to me. Kneeling won't solve your problems."
Cindy wiped away her tears and said, "My father is Kendall Hunt, the CEO of Hunt Group."
Hearing that, Suzanne's gaze instantly darkened.
