Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 294

Immediately, Suzanner gripped Henry's wrist tightly. She looked at him coldly and said, "If you don't care that this will be embarrassing for you, you can continue to make a scene."

The elevator doors opened with a ding, and the employees who were inside walked out.

Henry stiffened. He flung Suzanne's hand away forcefully and barked out the words, "Come to my office."

He turned around and headed into the elevator.

Suzanne watched Henry leave and turned to enter the design department. The competition was around the corner, and she had just sketched out her design. She still had to look for materials to make her creation, so she had no time to deal with Henry at all.

The employees who had just exited the elevator shared a look. Was Henry fighting with Suzanne? Could it be because of the news on social media?

Understanding flooded their eyes. No father could bear to see their daughter fool around with several people at once.

Thirty minutes later, the design department's landline rang.

Macey had just happened to pass by it, so she picked it up without hesitation. "Hello, this is the design department."

Henry's furious voice boomed over the phone, roaring, "Get Suzanne to come to the CEO's office now. If she doesn't come here, tell her that she doesn't have to step foot in Yates Corporation anymore!"

Macey's ears were ringing. She subconsciously pulled the phone away from her ear. She was so frightened that all she could do was stutter, "O-Okay, Mr. Yates…"

Confusion flitted in her eyes. What was happening?

Henry was so angry. Would Suzanne have to suffer the brunt of it?

She didn't dare to think too much. She walked up to Suzanne's desk and looked at her with a slightly worried look, saying, "Ms. Yates, Mr. Yates said he needs to talk to you, and he's asking you to go to his office."

Suzanne didn't even raise her head. She merely grunted faintly. "Mhm."

Five minutes later, Suzanne looked at the tightly closed door of the CEO's office and frowned. She pushed open the door, and in the spacious office space were leather couches and a wooden office table. There was a purple Lily of the Nile on the table, emitting a sweet fragrance.

Suzanne stepped in. Only Henry was in the office. He was busy with work at his desk.

He looked up, and when he saw Suzanne walk in, he felt a little smug. It seemed like she was afraid of being thrown out of the company.

He pointed at the office door and ordered, "Close the door."

However, Suzanne didn't even spare him a look. She marched to the couch in the office, and as she sat, she said, "Just spit it out."

It was already a test of her patience for her to be here in his office.

Suzanne's attitude causes Henry's expression to darken. "What is this attitude that you're having? I'm your father."

Suzanne scoffed. "Is this the only thing you want to say to me after demanding me to come here?"
