Henry swallowed hard, his feet instinctively retreating as he stammered in fear, "Y-You! D-Don't come any closer! I'll call the police."
Frankie's lips curled into a chilling smile. "Go ahead. Try it."
With a subtle glance, he signaled the guards. In an instant, a group of men lunged at Henry. Soon, blood-curdling screams filled the private room, lasting for a full hour.
At the deserted back entrance of Golden Plaza, the heavy doors suddenly swung open. Several guards dragged a battered man out and tossed him onto the ground.
Henry's body crashed onto the pavement, kicking up a cloud of dust. He groaned in pain, struggling to lift himself off the ground.
One of the guards sneered down at him in disgust before landing a brutal kick to his side. "Pathetic."
With that, they turned and shut the door behind him.
A long silence followed.
Henry's fingers twitched slightly before he slowly opened his swollen, disfigured eyes. They were filled with nothing but seething hatred.
Frankie Lloyd! He would make him pay for this one day!
…
An hour later, despite the searing pain in his body, Henry hailed a cab back to the Yates residence. As he approached the house, laughter echoed from the living room.
"Mom, this gemstone necklace is gorgeous!" Seline gushed.
Henry's expression darkened, his bruised and swollen face twisting in anger. He had been beaten to a pulp, and they were here laughing? He stormed inside furiously.
Seline trembled in fear, wanting to intervene but too terrified of being hit herself. All she could do was cover her head and sob hysterically. "Dad, please stop!"
Henry had never lost his temper like this before. What had happened to make him so furious?
But Henry wasn't listening. All the humiliation he had suffered at Frankie's hands was now being unleashed on Mandy. His face twisted with rage as he gritted his teeth. "You worthless leech! Wasting my money!"
If not for these parasites, losing 20 million dollars wouldn't have mattered!
Mandy could barely resist. She crouched on the ground with her arms wrapped around her head as she pleaded, "I didn't waste money! Honey, please stop!"
She bit her lip while enduring the blows, but her eyes blazed with hatred. One day, she would get rid of this old fool! Even if he begged on his knees, she would never forgive him.
Seline wept bitterly, her delicate face streaked with tears as she begged Henry to stop, but her pleas fell on deaf ears.
