Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 221

The employees in the office were all extremely speechless. Suzanne was really crazy! She actually dared to agree. Maybe she didn't know what kind of person Khalil really was?

Two people exchanged a glance, feeling delighted on the inside.

Seline tried hard to control her excitement and looked at Suzanne, saying softly, "I knew that you'd definitely agree to go out of consideration of the company's interests."

Suzanne pointed at the goosebumps on her arm and said in a calm voice, "Stop being so fake. No one likes listening to you speak in that kind of tone."

A few people couldn't hold back and laughed out loud.

Seline's expression changed. With many people around watching, Seline almost couldn't keep her expression in check.

She could only force a smile and say, "Sue, you sure love to joke around."

That bitch! She had made her lose her dignity in public again. It didn't matter. Seline would let Suzanne be proud for now. She would see how that bitch could still be proud after tonight!

Seline shot warning glances at the few people who had just laughed out loud, then turned around and walked toward the manager's office.

As the door of the manager's office closed, those people gently stroked their chests and said in fear, "Oh my god, she won't try to get back at us behind our backs just because we laughed, will she?"

"Who knows? You shouldn't have laughed."

"Be careful with what you say and do!"

Everyone then got back to work. Suzanne went back to organizing documents. Before she knew it, two hours had passed. She rubbed her sore neck and walked toward the pantry.

Suzanne knew what kind of person Khalil was, so she naturally knew that Macey wasn't lying to her.

She stepped forward and patted Macey on the shoulder, saying in a serious voice, "Don't worry."

The more she heard about this, the more she wanted to meet Khalil.

Macey looked up at Suzanne, seeing that she had made up her mind. She stomped her foot in frustration and questioned, "Why are you so stubborn?"

She stopped looking at Suzanne and turned around to walk out of the pantry.

Suzanne leaned against the high stool and looked in the direction of the manager's office. The corners of her mouth curved slightly, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes.

Seline's schemes were so obvious that they were almost hitting her in the face. But she quite liked having such a stepping stone.
