“Apart from necessary work, free up my time around Christmas and split it between you and Ms. Lynde,” Xander instructed after some thought and made arrangements. 

Timothy immediately understood what Xavier meant and asked hesitantly, “Are you going abroad? What about Mrs. Fulton Senior?” 

From the weekly Saturday family dinners, it was clear that the Fulton family placed great importance on family gatherings during holidays. Christmas was the most important festival, and it would be difficult to explain if Xavier wasn’t around for it. 

“Grandma wouldn’t want to see me attending alone.” Xavier thought. If he spent Christmas without Lily with him and the rest of the Fultons, he would be a thorn in Edith’s side. 

Edith would scold him the entire time he stayed in the Fulton residence. 

Timothy hesitated again. “Didn’t you and Mrs. Fulton agree to live separately?” 

“Who told you I am going abroad to see Lily? Xavier sneered. “I’m going to inspect the branch office” 

It was a great explanation. Timothy saw right through it, but he didn’t call Xavier out on it. He left with Xavier’s schedule and went to Sarah’s office. 

“Ms. Lynde, when do you plan to take time off for Christmas?” Timothy asked. Although most of the work was assigned to them, they still needed rest. Timothy had to adjust the schedule accordingly. 

Sarah thought for a moment and replied, 

1,1 haven’t decided yet, it depends on my work schedule Xyla insists on coming back for Christmas, after all. Since I’m not going abroad, 1 am more flexible. Why?” 

Timothy immediately handed over Xavier’s itinerary and said, “Besides these few key meetings and the summary procedure, let’s split the rest of the schedule. 

“There’s a meeting on the evening of the 24th that requires us to be at the company. Since you are not going abroad, you can take that one. I’m going back to my hometown for Christmas.” 

“War!” Sarah interrupted as things started to feel strange. “If we are dividing up Xavier’s work, then what about him? 

“Mr. Futron is going abroad during Christmas,” Timothy answered honestly 

The Fulton family’s international businesses had always been managed by Tamara, and Xavier rarely went abroad 

Even Tamara had to come back to celebrate Christmas with the family, much less Xavier So, Sarah knew for sure he wasn’t going abroad for work 

Sarah’s mind immediately went blank, and everything around her went dark when she remembered that Lily was also going abroad for the Avelon Designs Competition. 

She couldn’t understand why Xavier would want to leave the country for Lily when they had already divorced. 

Sarah refused to believe it and asked Timothy, “What is he going abroad for?” 

“Mr. Fulton said he’s going to inspect the branch office, but… this is his private matter, let’s not dwell on it. We should just follow his instructions.” Timothy subtly hinted at

He hoped he was mistaken about the other night. But even if he wasn’t, he hoped that with his hint, Sarah would dispel her inappropriate thoughts. 

Sarah understood his meaning, but she still refused to believe it. She asked, “What private matter? Isn’t he and Lily divorced? He can’t possibly be going abroad for her, can be?” “The divorce doesn’t matter with Mr. Fulton’s wanting to go after his wife abroad. Can’t you see the main point? Mr. Fulton still cares about Mrs. Fulton, it’s just that he hasn’t realized it himself” Timothy decided to be more straightforward when he saw Sarah’s strong reaction 

“We should just do our jobs and ensure that Mr. Fulton can focus on resolving things with his wife without worry.” Timothy added. 

His bluntness left Sarah disheartened. She had so much love for Xander but hadn’t even had the chance to express it. She waited so long for their divorce, only to have to bottle it all up again. 

Timothy saw Sarah’s expression darken and didn’t say any more. He merely handed her the work and left. 

Sarah’s face paled, and she spent the entire morning in a daze at her desk. It wasn’t until noon that Xyla called her on video. Sarah slapped her cheeks to try and look more normal before answering the call 

“Sarah!” Xyla chattered excitedly. She pointed the camera behind her and spun around. “Can you see where I am?
