Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier) novel Chapter 330

When Maryanne's words suddenly silenced Lily, Terence's gaze darkened with concern, and he looked over at her.

Lily sat silent for a moment, her eyes flickering. She licked her lips, lowered her head, and said softly, "I'm not avoiding it. I just need some time to calm down."

"What's there to calm down about?" Maryanne patted her shoulder. "You should get pregnant by tomorrow just to make him mad! Do it quickly. The main thing is not to lose your dignity! I know some people. I'll find someone for you."

Maryanne immediately pulled out her phone to start searching through her contacts.

"Maryanne!" Terence suddenly snatched the phone from her, his expression stern. "No more nonsense!"

"I'm not being ridiculous!" Maryanne rushed over, trying to grab the phone back. "I have to help her forget Xavier. She needs to move on!"

Lily tilted her head back, watching the brother and sister squabble over the phone as they tumbled on the couch.

It was mostly Maryanne's aggressive moves while Terence was trying to block her, keeping her from falling off. He was clearly at a disadvantage.

"I'm learning to forget him right now!" Lily suddenly raised her voice, reassuring Maryanne and loudly reminding herself. "I will forget him. I'll definitely forget him!"

Maryanne froze momentarily, and Terence quickly pushed her back onto the sofa, tucking the phone into his pocket.

"Give me some time," Lily said, her voice steady. "I want to focus on the Avelon Designs Competition. Let's talk after it's over."

Lily could only push the issue down the line, postponing it until after the competition. Once she grew past her prime, she'd finally be able to break free from Xavier's grip.

Terence nodded. "You're right. Right now, focus on the competition. As for everything else... we'll talk about it later. Don't sacrifice your happiness for a moment's anger."

Lily took Maryanne's bag and followed him downstairs.

After helping Maryanne into the car, Terence turned to Lily. "Where did you park your car? You should take a driver home. It'll save you from having to drive back later."

"I returned it." Lily's voice was soft, almost carried away by the night wind, barely reaching Terence's ears.

She didn't ask for anything. Her actions, so detached and cold, only proved that this marriage, this relationship, was something she desperately wanted to avoid.

The pity in Terence's eyes, which he'd been trying to control, finally spread uncontrollably.

Just then, Xavier stepped out of the bar, his custom suit hugging his muscular frame perfectly. He stopped just a few steps in and fixed his gaze on the two figures beside the SUV. His gaze was darker than the night itself.
