Chapter 297
For the past two years, Xavier believed he had never mistreated Lily. He bought her whatever she wanted, and apart from her dally expenses, she had never asked
for extra money.
Timothy clicked his tongue and immediately stopped asking
“What’s her current situation?” Xavier asked again.
“Mrs. Fulton has taken two or three days off. Didn’t you arrange for Dr. Blackwood to come to her home for the final stage of treatment? I guess Mrs. Fulton wants to get through this last phase before deciding what to do next.”
Timothy calculated momentarily before adding, “The final stage will take at least half a month. I’m unsure if Lupler will approve so many days off for her.” Xavier’s gaze darkened as he rested his finger on his chin, thinking for a long time. “Go to her store and discuss the renovation project for Glenview Villa. Make it clear that the job is exclusively hers–whenever she’s available, she can start. There’s no rush.”
The Glenview Villa project could bring in six figures for the company. By doing this, even if she took a month off, the shop wouldn’t dare fire her. They would just urge her to retum to work as soon as possible.
“Got it.“”
“Timothy nodded in agreement. “Should I tell Mrs. Fulton you’re helping her?
His blunt question made Xavier’s expression darken. Was Timothy asking him to take credit? Wouldn’t that make him seem like he was trying to please Lily?
Upon seeing his expression, Timothy quickly realized that he was secretly planning to do something good. But he didn’t quite understand.
What exactly are you helping Mrs. Fulton with?”
“I’m helping to prevent her from giving anyone else a chance,” Xavier replied, his legs uncrossing and his gaze turning back to the window. “Let’s go.”
The news of Hayden’s discharge would eventually reach Terence’s ears.
He didn’t want to let Terence play the good guy.
Seeing that she couldn’t make it, he smiled and reassured her, “Well, there’s nothing we can do, but there’s a big project for Glenview Villa. Isn’t that one on your hands?
“The client came yesterday and insisted you do it. If you have time, you could work from home. Just don’t make the client wait too long!”
Xavier? He actually wanted her to design Glenview Villa?
Lily was surprised but also relieved. She had been worried that the company wouldn’t approve her leave and would threaten to fire her. That would be hard to handle.
“Got it. Thank you, Mr. Ashford. I’ll handle the Glenview Villa project online as soon as possible.”
Even though she said this, she didn’t follow up with Xavier to ask about any specific requirements for the Glenview Villa rénovation after hanging up.
of course, when Xavier said she needed to be satisfied with it, she hadn’t paid much attention. Her mind was fully focused on Hayden’s treatment.
