Lily was stunned. The most expensive neighborhoods in jadeford had large apartments. A two–bedroom apartment should be in a mid–range neighborhood. A unit would cost around one million, with a renovation budget between 20 to 50 thousand, which could be considered luxurious 

“Excuse me, how should I address you?” A voice suddenly interrupted. It was Terry, walking over with a forced smile. 

The female customer smiled politely and introduced herself, “My name is Cherry Cane. 

“Ms. Cane.” Terry took the notebook from Lily, glanced at it, and said, “I understand your requests. Let’s exchange contact details, and we can schedule a time for measuring. I’ll send you the design once it’s ready 

He tookout a business card from his pocket and handed it to Cherry. Lily had never seen anyone so blatantly steam a customer like this. 

“Please take mine. Mr. Baldwin is busy, but I can adjust to your schedule for measuring.” Lily said as she too took out her business card. 

Terry looked at her and whispered, “Lily, you’ve only been here a few days and haven’t handled a project on your own. Ms. Cane’s requirements are high, so don’t 

make a scene. 

“There’s always a first time,” Lily said with an insistent smile. “We’ll let Ms. Cane decide.” 

With her status as a newcomer revealed, Lily had nothing to say if Cherry minded. 

“Naive,” Terry said with a dismissive look 

Terry knew Lily had a connection with Terence, but if their relationship was really good, he didn’t understand why Terence would send her here for training. 

Lily looked at cherry and waited for her decision. Cherry looked at both business cards, then took Lily’s 

“I’m pressed for time and need someone with enough time to work with me.” In other words, Terry was too busy, and she didn’t have the time to schedule with 

him. 

“It’s not a problem, you can add me on Facebook, just in case you might need me.” Terry was persistent, 

Cherry added him as a friend anyway. 

Lily took a quick look at Cherry’s account and only saw two pieces of business news. She probably worked as a white–collar professional in a corporate setting. 

Lily put away her phone and asked, “Ms. Cane, I have time to do the measurements now. Is it convenient for you?” 

“Of course,” Cherry replied. 

“Please wait a few minutes, I’ll go grab my tools,” Lily said. She returned to her workstation and grabbed the measuring tools and her jacket. Then she followed Cherry our 

Cherry drove and took her straight to the apartment. It was only when they arrived that Lily realized that Cherry lived in Bayview Gardens. 

“You live in the same neighborhood as I do,” Lily said. 

“Then we are really destined to meet,” Cherry said. She kept driving, and the coincidences continued. 

They lived in the same building. And, they were neighbors. 

There were too many coincidences that Lily started suspecting this was all prearranged. 

“I bought this apartment some time ago for my wedding, but I haven’t moved in yet. Cherry did a brief introduction and began urging Lily to start measuring. 

Lily dismissed her ridiculous thoughts. Judging by Cherry’s attitude, it didn’t seem premeditated. It was all just a coincidence. 

She finished the measurements half an hour later. 

It was almost time to get off work, so Lily reported to Landon that she was getting off work remotely. She messaged Maryanne to send her luggage to her home. 

There was no one at home, and from the looks of it, it seemed Hazel had left for several days. Hazel was finally gone and probably wouldn’t come back. 

Just as the thought crossed her mind, Hazel arrived with Maryanne, who was delivering her luggage.
