Timothy said, “Alright, I understand.” 

Lily tumed to the mall. The distance from the car to the entrance was only a few dozen feet, but by the time she got there, a chill had already crept into her body. 

The sample pillars still lay far off in the distance. As sİs vas about to pick them up again, she suddenly realized they were too long to fit in the elevator 

Carrying them up the stairs to the eighth floor would be exhausting. With six different–colored pillars, she’d be risking her life even if she didn’t collapse. So, she decided to take the elevator to the eighth floor and find someone to help. 

She approached a man named Terry Baldwin near the door. “Mr. Baldwin, could you help move the sample pillars downstairs?” 

“I’m busy.” Terry quickly closed his card game and opened a drawing program 

Lily scanned the room. Everyone else was preoccupied with their tasks. When she arrived earlier, the group was gossiping and chatting. 

Seeing this, she didn’t ask anyone else and walked straight to Landon’s office. She locked twice on the door and pushed it open after receiving a response. 

“Lily, what’s up? Landon looked up, put down his pen, and smiled. 

Lily nodded slightly “Mr. Ashford, the samples downstairs are too large to fit in the elevator, and I need someone to help carry them.” 

“Big? Is it also very thick?” Landon asked, adjusting his glasses, the lenses thick and narrow. 

His small eyes squinted as he smiled, gleaming with a sharp, unsettling light. His expression and tone made Lily 

With a grin, Landon walked over to her and took a deep breath. “So, do you need a man to help you?”

Landon didn’t expect her to be so direct and decisive, “Stop right there! I’m the store manager, and 1 make the decisions here. You can’t refuse!” he shouted, his voice echoing as she opened the door. 

Everyone in the office looked up at the sound. 

Lily paused for a moment and then turned back. “Sorry, Mr. Ashford. You may be in charge here, but that doesn’t mean you can make things difficult on purpose.” 

No one wanted to do physical labor or hard work like this. She wasn’t foolish. The logistics department should handle tasks like moving samples. 

However, it was her first day, and she didn’t want to be labeled as difficult to work with, so she went without hesitation 

“What do you mean, making things difficult?” Landon stormed out of his office, claring at her. “Everyone else is busy, and you’re the only one not doing anything What’s wrong with asking you to help out?” 

“Where’s logistics?” she asked, glancing toward the warehouse, where two people had poked their heads out to watch the scene. As soon as they saw her glance their way, they quickly hid away. 

Landon, thinking she was young and didn’t understand the rules, was 

is momentarily caught off guard. After a brief silence, he quickly recovered. 

“Lily, don’t think that, just because you were transferred from headquarters, you’re any more important than the people here in the store.” 

“Please answer my question. Don’t try to create animosity,” Lily retorted, instantly seeing through his intentions. “Let’s get to the point Logistics should handle the heavy lifting of moving sample items. 

“Like all the designers here, my job is to meet clients and create 

te designs. Even if I don’t have anything to do right now, helping out would be a favor, and not helping is my responsibility. It has nothing to do with whether I was transferred from headquarters.” 

Her clear reasoning immediately put out the sparks of anger that Landon had tried to stir up 

There were four designers at the store, three men and one woman, and they all turned their attention to her. There was a trace of admiration in their eyes.
