Upon hearing this, Nadia didn’t ask any further questions and accepted Lily’s transfer request. “I’ll notify you once a decision is made. In the meantime, you can find something to do

Just before lunch, Nadia sent her a message informing her that Mr. Devereux wanted to speak with her. 

Lily handed the completed documents to Queenie and made her way to the top flour to meet Terence. By the time she arrived, Terence had just hung up his coat. 

Terence, it’s not even lunchtime yet,” Lily said, closing the door behind her as she entered. “It’s not really the right time to discuss my design for the competition during working hours.” 

“Let’s talk about your transfer request,” Terence replied, his tired demeanor showing the lingering effects of the cold air outside 

The HR department hadn’t approved her request but had sought his approval instead. When he heard about it, he immediately abandoned his work and rushed back 

“I want a proper reason.” 

Lily hadn’t expected the issue to have reached him so quickly. “Because, originally, it was you who gave me the chance to join Lupier 

Terence was surprised she knew about this.

As an assistant designer, it was difficult to shine with the designer’s shadow looming over. Returning to the design industry was an essential step for her to continue learning and staying up–to–date with trends. 

What would truly allow her to shine was participating in competitions across the country. 

“It’s off work time. How about I take you downstairs for dianer?” Terence suggested. 

Lily knew a new restaurant had opened downstairs, and Queenie had recommended it several times for its great food. 

Since she was about to transfer away from headquarters, she wasn’t worried about anyone noticing her closeness to Terence. 

Terence smiled faintly, taking off the coat he had just hung up. “Don’t worry, I won’t steal your bill today,” 

“Let’s go,” Lily said, leaving the office. They both took the elevator downstairs, catching curious glances from those around them. The one gaze Lily couldn’t ignore was Hazel’s. She stood just outside the entrance of tapier, watching them.
