"Oh, damn. That was why he said he was the father of the child!"
"The driver probably mistook the child as his own kid."
"Okay. I'm going to cry."
This time, the livestream audience approached a more logical assumption and began lamenting about the story.
Tyler and Stacey naturally didn't expect the truth to be like this. The driver experienced the same emergency, yet they were lucky enough to meet him and send their child to the hospital in time. Otherwise, they would've shared the same tragic fate.
Their sympathy overwrote their fear of the ghost driver, and Tyler suggested, "Ms. Jensen, is it possible to meet the ghost… I mean, Mr. Lechner? We'd like to thank him in person with our child."
Stacey hesitated briefly and asked, "Ms. Jensen, my child has just been discharged… Will it pose any danger to his health if he… interacts with him?"
After hearing that Shannon would offer the child a protective talisman to shield the negative energy, Stacey concurred without a second thought. "Then, let's all go meet him. I think… he'd love to see Artie fully recovered."
The majority of the livestream audience agreed to the couple's suggestion, and Shannon naturally had no plan to stop them. Before anything, they would have to locate Clement Lechner, the ghost driver.
With his assigned cameraman, Skylar announced before the livestream, "I don't sense any soul presence in this section. He's not at his place of death."
His words stunned the couple. "You can't find him?"
"Usually, we start from their place of death as it's the most common. In this case, we'd have to expand our search area."
Everyone in the livestream watched as he slowly parted a patch of grass, revealing a somewhat dirty glass bottle deeply embedded in the soil, with only about a third of the bottle's neck visible.
The bottle was covered in dirt as if someone had deliberately buried it there.
"Found it," Skylar said, carefully retrieving the contents of the bottle with a tool.
After a while, he gently pulled a photo from the bottom of the bottle, its edges yellowed and nearly impossible to make out. The cameraman zoomed in for a close-up, vaguely displaying the image of a man holding a child's hand.
"That's the ghost driver and his kid."
The deceased child's energy was no longer present, but the ghost driver's remained lingering on that photo.
