Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 828

The party continued vivaciously, with no one realizing that Ziva had left halfway through. She didn't care about them anyway.

After leaving the venue, she took a cab. Once she entered the car, she began coughing vigorously like before, startling the driver in the front seat.

"Miss, are you alright?" The driver originally wanted to start a small talk with her, given her costume. Now, he couldn't help but be concerned.

Ziva left him unanswered. She hunched over, covered her mouth, and coughed with sharp, barking fits.

Noticing the veil, tinged with red, the driver instantly came to an emergency halt. "A-Are you spitting blood? Hang in there; I'll send you to the hospital…"

The driver prepared to start driving again. However, Ziva looked indifferently at her blood-stained veil. After finally subduing her cough, she said hoarsely, "Forget about it. Take me home instead."

Her tone was resolute, leaving no room for the driver to refute her. As much as he wanted to persuade her, he knew it wasn't his place to do so.

Thus, he followed the given address and sent her to a residential area in an urban village.

Thankfully, Ziva only coughed occasionally without vomiting more blood. The driver quietly watched her descend the car. Once she alighted, she removed her red-tinged veil and tossed it into the garbage bin by the road, walking into the residential area without turning back.

Due to her frequent use of her power of words, she began vomiting blood. It wasn't that she was unaware of her deteriorating vocal cords; she simply couldn't care less.

Since the universe had bestowed her such a power, she believed it was her freedom to use it however she wanted.

Approaching Caleb was a spur-of-a-moment decision on her side. At least through him, she could meet the person she wanted to see—Shannon.

The woman was none other than the missing Cecily. Since the day Ziva knocked her unconscious with a brick, she had brought her to this rental house to hide.

Had Ziva not heard that Diego was looking for Cecily, she would've forgotten that she had missed sending her meals for two days.

She unfastened the ropes, ignored the feces and urine on the floor, and passed Cecily the food and water she randomly bought off the streets. "Eat up, Cecily."

Had it been in the past, Cecily would never have touched such cheap food like this. However, after starving for two days, she ignored her stinking body, tore away the tape on her mouth, and grabbed the food with her hands.

While eating, tears began to roll down her face. She failed to understand why she had ended up in such a miserable state.

This woman before her was a total monster.
