Benjamin was probably enjoying his free time because Shannon soon received his response. "Tell Julian if there's anything that needs to be corrected."
After sending the text, his gaze lingered on the words "I didn't know you went to Jamborough", and he paused for a moment before texting another reply. "I'll let you know next time I travel far."
This thought had never occurred to him as he was used to handling things without needing to notify anyone other than Nick.
Shannon was surprised by his reply, and she immediately responded, "I wasn't hinting at that."
Benjamin replied, "I know." He just realized that he should have informed her.
The conversation ended a bit abruptly, and Shannon didn't dwell on it. She looked at the photo on her phone and decided to post it on Twitter.
The picture showed Benji Gold standing in the center of the desk with his arms on his hips. One of his hands was held high in a triumphant pose.
It excluded an air of pride and confidence despite being nothing more than just a simple paper figure.
Her caption read. "My new desk."
Scott was the first to comment and shower her with praise. "Your taste is unmatched. That looks grand and luxurious!"
Next came Mike. "This desk looks expensive."
Though Clara wasn't close with Shannon, she was one of the few following Shannon on Twitter. She joined in. "Is this the kind of desk mystic masters would use? The tone's a bit dark.
"I'll send you some cute trinkets to light it up. It should be decorated nicely."
"Major events have happened in Jamborough these past few years. Now that you're back, we hope you'll consider returning to Jamborough."
Several others nodded in agreement.
But Benjamin dismissed the suggestion without hesitation. "Cooper Group is based in Seastone, so I have no further plans to return to Jamborough for the time being."
He continued, "Everything in Jamborough shall remain under Luke's supervision. His order is mine."
As he spoke, he glanced at the handsome and almost devilishly charming man lounging casually on the couch eating snacks. His nonchalance was such a stark contrast to the solemn atmosphere of the room that it almost seemed as if he was on vacation.
Luke Bray gave the elders a smug look and raised his chin high in arrogance. There was a trace of pride in his voice as he said, "I told you, but you didn't trust me."
