Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 712

Seastone University.

After Hank witnessed Shannon pull the blood-stained doll clothes from his bedside compartment, any remaining trust he had in Cecily had evaporated.

Once might have been a misunderstanding, but twice or even three times was certainly no coincidence. He wasn't as blind as Caleb.

His trust shattered, and he was no longer consumed by the sorrow of his parents' divorce. He hurriedly packed his stuff and returned to school.

But he forgot that returning to school meant more opportunities to run into Cecily, just like now.

Holding two cups of coffee, Cecily smiled and waved at him from a distance.

Hank felt his entire body tense up. His first instinct was to turn and run. Why hadn't he noticed how unsettling her smile was?

And she was bringing him coffee! Who knew what she might have added to it?

Cecily noticed Hank's affection levels drop rapidly as soon as their eyes met. She barely managed to maintain her smile, though she'd anticipated this reaction.

Yet no matter how much Hank freaked out, he would soon join Caleb and Marie. She didn't need to concern herself with his current attitude.

So, she walked to him with a smile and asked in a gentle yet reproachful tone, "Hank, why didn't you respond when you saw me? Are you still upset about what happened to Aunt Linda? Do you want me to talk you out of it?"

Linda? Hank was briefly stunned before he remembered. "Oh right, I've been in a bad mood lately, so I didn't see you."

Hank didn't want to confront her. If Cecily was capable of placing something that sinister in his room, who knew what else she was capable of? He knew that confronting a devil like her wouldn't end well.

Shannon? What was she doing here? Hadn't she returned to school? Or had something happened at home again?

Once the thought crossed his mind, he quickly walked to her. He got closer and noticed that Shannon's eyes were fixed on his cup of coffee.

Though she didn't say a word, her silent gaze made Hank's heart race. His voice was tense as he asked, "What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the coffee?

"I knew it! I knew Cecily was up to no good bringing me this!"

Then, he grabbed the cup of coffee without hesitation and hurled it into the nearby trash can.

Shannon was dumbfounded. She had just glanced at the cup of coffee because she was feeling thirsty and had wondered if she should grab a cup later.
