That name was obviously related to him.
Then, the paper figure nodded, looked up at him, and pointed at itself. Benjamin raised his brows. "You want a name for yourself?"
It nodded eagerly, a hint of excitement flashing across its emotionless face.
Although it had followed Benjamin around these days, he had never once thought about giving it a name. It wasn't a pet, after all. But since Shannon had given one to hers…
After some thinking, he uttered, "You're Shanny Gold, then."
The paper figures came in pairs, after all, so it was only natural that they had corresponding names.
Shanny Gold was elated to have a name, bouncing around the talisman in circles. As if sensing its excitement, Benji Gold, originally sitting calmly on Shannon's shoulder, shot up and almost fell off.
Luckily, Shannon grabbed it in time. She said softly, "Be good, Benji Gold."
Then, she guiltily looked behind her. She had just retrieved her parcel from the delivery man and was heading back to the Jensen residence. After ensuring no one had heard the paper figure's name, she heaved a breath of relief.
In fact, it wouldn't be a big deal if anyone else overheard it—except for Benjamin. After all, she casually made that name up.
Upon returning to the Jensen residence, Shannon immediately cast a barrier. Following that, she uncovered the box Zidane had sent. The exquisite, antique long box, when opened, released a rich spiritual energy that filled the air.
Her eyes lit up when she saw the contents of the box. Inside lay an intricately crafted sword. Unlike ordinary hazelwood swords, this one was entirely pitch black, with a rounded tip and a slender blade.
Then came Zidane's mischievous laughter. "Does it feel familiar? That was scraped off from the broken sword of the sword spirit, so consider yourself lucky."
Shannon was momentarily speechless. Was the sword spirit aware of this?
"Of course, the little sword spirit is aware. That broken sword was its true form, after all. Initially, I didn't plan to incorporate it into your sword, but the strange energy in the emerald pendant you sent over was quite practical.
"I locked it up with the sword spirit. Then part of the copper came off the broken sword, which is what you see on your handle now."
Zidane burst into a giggle. "Although I didn't find out what that strange energy was, I incorporated it into your copper fitting."
Shannon was utterly speechless.
