Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 675

George knew Marie liked Cecily, so he'd always treated the latter as like an extra child in the family to keep Marie happy.

He didn't pay much attention to Cecily's little schemes and decided to use her in observing his grandsons' judgments.

Being in the Jensen family meant they were bound to face many temptations, so if they couldn't even distinguish right from wrong, any advice from others would be pointless.

Now that Hector had brought up the matter publicly after being turned down once, it meant that Cecily had done something to provoke him again. Though Hector was often smiling and seemingly easygoing, he was one to hold a grudge.

Adam also understood Hector well and knew that the latter wouldn't bring this up unless Cecily had crossed the line.

Both the elders remained silent, while Alex and Linda were too occupied to show interest in the matter. Whether Cecily stayed or left had little to do with their family.

But Adrain and Annalise couldn't ignore Marie's feelings. They asked, "Hector, Cecily grew up with the Jensens, and she has a deep bond with Marie and the boys.

"We can't just send her back to the Snowdens out of nowhere. Wouldn't it be hard to explain to them?"

"That's right."

Hector smiled warmly at Adrian and Annalise. "You don't need to worry about that. I've contacted the Snowdens, and they'll come to pick her up tomorrow."

Both Adrain and Annalise were stunned, and the other members of the Jensen family were equally as surprised. While they knew Hector was a man of his word, it seemed he was acting too swiftly.

Cecily clenched Marie's hand tightly. Marie sensed her trembling, and her anger flared up again. She couldn't hold back from slamming the armrest of her wheelchair.

But she was generally pleased knowing how well Cecily had cared for Marie. Every time she visited, she made sure Cecily had whatever the other children received.

And Cecily was always so polite and respectful in preparing gifts for her on holidays.

Annalise had treated her as a child of the Jensens and liked her almost like a daughter since she had no daughters of her own. But when faced with the reality of the situation, those affections instantly seemed insignificant.

The idea of being treated as a daughter of the Jensen and receiving the same status equivalent to that of Shannon or Eva made her uncomfortable. Cecily was an outsider by blood, so how could she compare?

Annalise was the only Jensen daughter of her generation, so should Cecily receive the same amount of status? Did the Snowdens even deserve that?
