A terrible gut feeling struck them, and they wasted no time answering the calls.

The next second, their faces paled simultaneously. Linda nearly collapsed as she dropped to Alex. Her voice was sharp and panicked.

"What did you say? Eva's been kidnapped?"

Adam's expression darkened at hearing her words. Despite his disdain for Linda, Eva was part of the Jensens. Her kidnapping wouldn't just affect Alex's family.

He quickly pulled out his phone without further questions and sent a series of texts.

Shannon hadn't expected an accident in such a short time though she'd anticipated trouble. It confirmed how deep Linda's misfortune was.

As she thought about Eva's recent change in attitude and how the latter had taken care of Marshmallow, she sighed. This favor would be in return for the five-million-dollar diamond crown Eva had given her.

With that thought, Shannon pulled out a blank talisman and intended to trace Eva's presence but her actions seemed to have provoked Linda.

As Linda recalled Shannon's earlier "warning", she suddenly lunged at the latter and screamed, "Was it you? You're the one who harmed Eva!"
