The photographers tried to follow, but Vincent blocked them at the door.

Carlos signaled for the crowd of staff members to disperse before joining them in the lounge.

"This is the doll," Juniper said as he pointed at it. "But I didn't sense the presence of a soul coming from it."

Shannon stared at the doll which looked almost identical to Lucy. She had formed her analysis.

Though the doll didn't carry any distinct energy of a soul, it did have a faint but similar energy.

She reached out and picked up the doll. The moment it touched her hand, the sensation grew stronger.

Though Shannon had her guess, she looked into the doll's eyes and softly asked, "Lucy, is that you?"

In the doll, Lucy watched as she was lifted again.

She had given up hope, but when she heard Shannon's voice, she was instantly overwhelmed with emotion. Her soul trembled with the urge to cry.

"Yes! Shannon, it's me! Save me!"

She had seen her unconscious body lying on the couch, but she didn't know what was happening or if the others had realized something was wrong.

She continued to shout with all her might despite knowing her voice couldn't reach them. Even a glimmer of hope was better than nothing.

"Sure enough," Shannon muttered. The soul was trapped within the doll, so she couldn't summon it directly.
