"A reciprocal gift."
The protective talisman was supposed to be given out by the production crew as every cast member had it.
However, due to Madeline and James' antics in the last two episodes, Fred exhausting the talismans he bought from Shannon, Shannon's busy schedule with intensive training, and the production crew forgetting to restock, Lucy found herself unprotected, unlike the others.
Seeing the triangular-shaped talisman, Lucy was initially in a daze until she heard about its efficacy from Percy. Instantly, she carefully kept the talisman in her fragrant sachet with immense gratitude.
Then, she reminded her assistant, "I want this sachet with me at all times, especially after the wardrobe change. Don't mess it up."
That talisman conveniently served as a reminder to everyone else that they were protected by a spell. At that moment, they felt emboldened and fearless against any negative energy in the place!
That was the confidence and sense of security Shannon could offer with her "products".
Confirming that everyone had pulled their focus back, Shannon continued, "Although I sensed some negative energy, I have yet to detect any ghastly energy. There are generally two scenarios when it comes to circumstances like this. The first is that there are no malevolent spirits stirring trouble here."
"Are you saying the set isn't haunted?" Lucy asked, her gaze full of hope.
Shannon glanced at her and continued explaining, "The second scenario is that a powerful spirit that can freely conceal its presence is disrupting the set."
As though worried that she wasn't clear enough, she conveyed in Layman's terms, "Typically, spirits that have existed for over 50 years are referred to as old ghosts, while those considered powerful spirits are over a hundred years old."
That simple statement rendered the cast members and livestream audience horrified. A century-old powerful spirit had infiltrated the set of The Flourishing Age! Had their crew chosen the wrong film set and awakened a nest of powerful spirits?
Not to mention, she passed out five pieces of it at once. Despite knowing Shannon's secret identity, he couldn't help but envy her.
Drawing a spirit-fixing talisman was extremely challenging. He could barely manage a basic-grade one, and even that would be completely ineffective against a powerful spirit.
"This should be easier for you guys to use." Shannon explained, "Just toss it out as soon as you detect something off."
The improved spirit-fixing talisman she created incorporated a tracking effect for ghastly energy, inspired by the feature from MysticApp. That way, even if the talisman failed to bind the spirit, she could still lock onto its energy and extract it.
She originally planned to give them a thunder talisman, but considering its destructive power and that ordinary people could not harness its intended effects, she decided against using it.
