Shannon looked rather surprised at Lexie. "You're into this, too?"

"Of course. That's my family tradition," Lexie said matter-of-factly.

Before Shanonn could link ball-jointed dolls to mystic arts traditions, she saw Lexie pull out a six-inch sweet fashion doll from her pocket. Upon closer look, it looked quite similar to Lexie!

"This is my daughter, Lexi-Lou." Lexie placed the doll onto the desk and chanted a spell, forming a mudra. "Up!"

Following her command, the doll slowly rose from the desk. It first moved awkwardly as it twisted its joints, but its movements soon became smooth. Accompanied by the changing mudras by Lexie, the fashion doll gracefully curtsied to Shannon.

"Lexi-Lou can dance, too." Then, Lexie excitedly presented her doll dancing.

The doll began by spinning and dancing elegantly, but for some reason, it got stuck briefly and turned into a zombie-like hop. Soon, it returned to its usual dancing, followed by a couple more zombie hops.

Lexie, seemingly embarrassed, scrunched up her dainty face as she focused intently on controlling the doll's dance.

After watching the "performance", Shannon had a gist of what Lexie's family tradition was.

Shannon initially only planned to see whether the doll was used for other purposes. After all, everyone knew that objects associated with deceased organisms were more likely to serve as conduits for dark arts.

Unexpectedly, she discovered a group of people with peculiar collecting hobbies. For a moment, she wasn't sure how to categorize Cecily. Yet, regardless of her label, it sealed the fact that she was somewhat creepy.

Shannon couldn't care less whether Cecily was a creepy two-faced bitch or a regular one. At least now she could confirm that Cecily's doll wasn't attached with any malevolent force.

Whether or not Scott's late-night attack had something to do with Cecily required more time to see if any further incidents occurred.
