Hank's expression turned grim.
After connecting the two names, his suspicions spread uncontrollably like wildfire.
A part of him told him it was impossible and that it had to be just a coincidence. But another voice countered, "Why not?"
Shannon had carved the emerald pendant, and the craftsmanship of the pendant was identical to Rosalie's. How could there be such a coincidence?
Because of Shannon's age, he had never considered the possibility that they could be the same person. But what if they were?
As the possibility sank in, Hank's face contorted as if he had seen a ghost.
He instinctively snatched the tablet from Scott and Eva. Sure enough, the livestream chat was buzzing about Shannon's alias being Rosalie.
Scott and Eva were startled and annoyed by the sudden grab. "Hank! You're going a little too far!"
Scott was about to hop up and start a battle when Hank casually tossed the tablet back at him and walked away with a gloomy look, saying nothing.
Scott and Eva exchanged confused looks and wondered what was wrong with him.
They decided to ignore him and resume watching the livestream.
Meanwhile, Hank hurried upstairs and went straight to Shannon's room on the third floor instead of heading to his room.
A name alone didn't prove anything, and he needed to see it for himself.
If Shannon really were Rosalie, there would definitely be evidence in her room. He knew she often tinkered with things in here, and that likely included emerald carving.
As Hank thought so, he pushed the doorknob, but it didn't budge. It was locked.
He scolded at the door for a second and quickly dashed downstairs. Then, he ran back up and held a key he had gotten from the maid.
He inserted the key and unlocked the door smoothly.
But to his surprise, he passed through just like that.
Hank paused and was stunned. Then, he looked down at Marshmallow with a smug grin. Sure enough, he proved himself smart enough to enroll in Liberty University.
Marshmallow tilted its head and blinked at him in innocent confusion.
Marshmallow now lost his usefulness after Hank had bypassed the barrier. He bent down and set Marshmallow on the floor.
Then, he continued deeper into the room.
Shannon's room was just as eye-searingly pink as it had always been. It was decorated in an over-the-top princess style.
Hank still couldn't believe that someone like her would prefer such a room. To fight for this room, she had even run away from home for a while.
As Hank remembered how he had teamed up with Scott to drive her out of the room, he brushed his nose guiltily.
