Mushy shared common questions with what was on the minds of the livestream audience.
Skylar was not used to being questioned like this, but he patiently answered her queries.
"Judging from the looks of your friend and the ghost lady, there's no direct karma. Perhaps she came into contact with it through some medium like the place where the ghost died or an object it frequently used during its life.
"As for why you could see ghosts, it's because the mushroom poisoning pushed you into the fear of seeing them.
"Humans have three beliefs that protect them. When in fear of bad luck, these beliefs weaken, and it becomes easier to encounter ghosts.
"What I recited was from one of the beginner lessons of mystic school, the Golden Decree of the Eight Great Spells. It can only ward off common ghosts. Whether it works depends on one's talent."
Skylar paused briefly and eyed Mushy. "You have average talent, so you can barely use it."
Mushy didn't get offended by his bluntness. Not everyone could compare to Shannon's excellent innate ability.
She eagerly asked another question, "What about my blood? When I pressed it against the ghost, it screamed and fled.
"Does that mean my blood has the ability to ward off or burn ghosts? That unique kind of powerful blood that repels malevolent forces?"
Skylar listened as she spoke. He looked up and doused her excitement with a harsh sentence. "Only chicken blood or black dog blood repel malevolent forces."
Mushy was totally stunned for words.
The livestream audience howled with laughter at Skylar's ruthless response.
"LOL, she has been reading too many mystic arts novels."
"I know this one. According to Mysticism, the middle finger's blood has the most positive energy, and you can press it against your forehead in emergencies. I didn't expect it to actually work."
"The idea that ghosts can't attack people hiding under the covers is wrong. Plus, humans and ghosts did not sign such a treaty."
The livestream audience was amused to see his deadpan correction of their inside jokes. Some even found him endearing.
It was Skylar's first engagement in such events. He had started responding reluctantly, but he grew to enjoy the back-and-forth with the viewers.
He seemed to have forgotten how much he had disliked the idea of promoting mystic arts online. He was even addicted to basking in the compliments.
While Skylar was immersed in interacting with the livestream audience, Mushy and Celia whipped out their phones and started searching the Internet.
Mushy suddenly slapped her thigh in anger. "This tourist attraction is a total scam!"
She showed her phone to the camera and revealed a local news article from not long ago.
