Comments flooded the livestream chat once more.
"People say that the Weasel Deity is the hardest to deal with among the Five Deities, but this one is so kind."
"The man saved the Weasel Deity once. He not only took him out of the mountains but also helped him find a hundred-year-old wild mandrake. He even protected the village for 70 years just because of a casual remark that man made!"
"This must be love, right?"
"I'm crying so much. I'll never hate weasels again."
"Everything has a spirit, except mosquitoes."
"This sounds like a story made up by the production crew. Why do so many people believe it's real?"
"I don't care. Even if it's made up, I'll believe in it!"
"The villager who called the Weasel Deity a fool is so hateful! You're the fool! Your whole family is made up of fools!"
"He just wanted acknowledgment. It's not like he's asking for the stars in the sky. Give it to him!"
"Will the Weasel Deity still seek acknowledgment after it restores its spiritual power? Come to me if you need help, O Deity. I'll give you all the acknowledgment you want!"
"The villagers of Northrock Village are so lucky. Who can refuse a Weasel Deity that quietly watches over the village?"
"I'm not from this village. Can I go there and ask the Weasel Deity for help?"
They didn't think much of Kai. However, Eddie believed that Kai saved him the previous night, so he felt like he should defend Kai.
Olivia and Vincent followed Eddie's lead and tried to mediate as well. Shannon didn't want to discuss this matter with Kai in front of the livestream, so she softened her tone slightly and said they would talk about it later.
Kai showed a pitiful expression as he tagged along. Eddie moved closer to him and said, "Your name is Kai, right? I'm Eddie. Things have been so hectic that I didn't get a chance to thank you. Thank you for saving us last night."
Eddie's tone was sincere, as he was genuinely grateful. Kai gave him a slightly odd look and replied, "You don't need to thank me. I wasn't the one who saved you."
Eddie was taken aback, unsure if Kai was just being modest. Last night, when the weasels rushed at them, the photographer and James passed out from fright. Only he remained conscious. When the weasels were about to pounce on him, they suddenly changed direction.
There was no one else around. If Kai didn't save him, then who did?
