After all, as the host, it was Percy's job to provide commentary.
The last time he had a similar feeling was when Eddie took his place in hosting the interactive segment of the livestream.
Judging by Eddie's current performance, he seemed to be getting used to being the host.
Eddie was trying to take Percy's job from him!
Percy felt a hint of anxiety as he quickly picked up where Eddie left off. He began to enthusiastically introduce the current situation in the village.
Because of the rapid development of the village, there were more young people in this village compared to other villages, where the younger people had all moved away for better opportunities.
Most of the young people watched the livestreams or were fans of the celebrities, so they were quite enthusiastic about the crew's arrival.
In contrast to the low profile in the previous two episodes, the arrival of the crew in the village was given a warm reception.
After Percy, the cast, and the crew members got out of the car, they were immediately surrounded by excited villagers led by the chief.
The chief shook hands with Percy as a gesture of welcome. Then, he gave a brief explanation of the situation in the village.
"We've already prepared accommodations for you, and I've even had a house all tidied up. I've also talked to the families who will be hosting some of the cast members. They'll take good care of you."
Percy expressed his gratitude first. Then, he explained to the six cast members, "The crew and the chief have agreed that the cast members will be split into pairs, and each pair will stay with a host family. The three host families are supposedly families that have faced disturbances before.
"After settling in, you have to carry out investigations and figure out the truth behind the disturbances that befell the villagers and the guards. The production crew will gather everyone tomorrow for an expedition into the mountains to check out the mandrake patches."
The cast would be staying in pairs to prevent any accidents from happening during the stay.
The pair staying together would automatically be on the same team, so Shannon and Olivia decisively formed a pair.
This was also a part of the show, and the chief had already told the villagers not to gather around and disturb the recording. Hence, the teams split up and found their "homes" by reading the street signs and asking around.
The house Shannon and Olivia were staying in just so happened to belong to the guard who had experienced a lot of the disturbances. The guard was the second son of his family, and because he feared the god of the mountains, he had already moved back with his family.
When Olivia heard that he was the guard, she got a little curious. "Shannon, do you think there really is a god of the mountains?"
Shannon shook her head but didn't answer. However, when she entered the house, she keenly sensed something unusual in the air.
She paused slightly in her tracks.
As she turned to look, her clear gaze fell upon a member of the family, a middle-aged man in his 40s.
This man was the second son of the family, the guard himself.
