Shannon's eyes lit up at his reply, though it was brief and concise. Even her foul mood caused by Cecily earlier changed for the better.

She had finally managed to ride on his coattails.

As she thought about how she could openly acquire the golden light and spiritual energy in the future, her footsteps began to lighten while walking up the stairs.

Even Benjamin was stunned by his own reply and took a look at what he agreed to.

"It must have been Shannon! She must have said something to Benjamin!" She couldn't think of any other reason besides this and felt a deep-seated annoyance toward Shannon.

She couldn't understand why Shannon was so determined to make her life hard. Even when Shannon had returned to reclaim her title as Ms. Jensen, she hadn't held a grudge against her.

Cecily had even cared for Shannon when she returned, but Shannon hadn't appreciated it and even began to actively undermine her.

Cecily gritted her teeth as she asked the system, "Can I take her fortune away if her affection level increases?"
