After Myla left, Vincent threw himself back into preparing for his concert.

He'd thought she would come looking for him soon, but to his surprise, she was nowhere to be seen even after everything was ready. Instead, his family started hinting at marriage again.

"Do you still remember Claire Yarborough from the Yarboroughs in Jamborough? She said she's your fan, so why don't you send her a VIP ticket to invite her to your concert?"

It took a long second before Max could finally choke out. "You're engaged! Why didn't I know about this?"

It was only now that Vincent realized he might have accidentally let that slip. He opened his mouth to explain but found it all too complicated, so he simply said, "It is what it is, but don't worry, it won't affect my career."

After a pause, he added, "Just keep it to yourself and don't tell anyone for now."

Max looked like he might cry on the spot. Of course, he wouldn't be stupid enough to spill something like this.
