"What's going on with the rain?"
Polley had noticed something was off. As she hurried over, the surrounding crew members looked equally astonished and uneasy.
Just then, a figure emerged through the curtain of rain. His deep, calm voice rang clear even in the downpour. "Rainwater is filthy. If a wound stays soaked for too long, it can easily be infected. An actor's physical well-being should be considered even during filming."
Olivia snapped her head around and saw Skylar walking toward her with an umbrella. Rain splashed mud around him with each step, yet he remained spotless as if the umbrella had created an untouched space around him.
Through the mist and rain, his figure grew clearer until he stood right in front of her. "Sorry for interrupting your work."
He spoke in such a serious tone, and for some reason, Olivia felt her nose sting. She wanted to say something, but for fear of giving herself away, she quickly turned her head to avoid looking at him.
Skylar glanced down at the scraped wounds on her palm with a solemn expression.
Polley had been on the verge of losing her temper from the sudden disruption. But when she noticed who it was, her anger was forcibly suppressed.
She was Shannon's fan, not because of Sixth Sense but because she'd once witnessed Shannon and other mystic masters risking their lives for Crisea. That was how she'd come to love Shannon.
For some reason, she held reverence for mystic masters sharing the same dedication like Skylar.
"Skylar, what brings you here?" she asked, looking at Skylar before turning to Olivia, who now seemed to be sulking.
As a director who'd worked on countless romance dramas, she immediately sensed that the two had an unusual relationship.
In a flash, it all made sense where Olivia's explosive performances since returning to the set came from.
Meeting Polley's sharp, knowing gaze, Skylar's composed expression stiffened slightly. Still, he braced himself to say, "I'm sorry. Could I have five minutes? I'll leave right after."
