Jordan was a freak. He grew up in an orphanage, always surrounded by people, yet in his world, it had always felt like he was alone.
From an early age, Jordan knew he was different. The world he saw varied from the one others saw.
The first time he touched a computer, it was as if a door opened into another universe. It was a world dense, mechanical, and even boring to others. To him, though, it was endlessly captivating.
As he grew older and delved deeper into it, the outside world began labelling him a genius. However, he never cared for titles; he only wanted to explore.
When he turned 40, he felt he had finally uncovered the truth behind the world. He pushed the edges of reality. People said he had gone mad, but only he knew he had touched the source of it all.
The Alternate Divine Power.
Harnessing the Might of the Divine Power, Jordan created what came to be known as the system. To him, it was a breakthrough—nothing more than that.
Every challenge, once conquered, lost its hold on the challenger, especially for Jordan.
So, he turned his full focus to the next task the Alternate Divine Power had laid before him—to find a way to merge the two worlds.
Jordan couldn't care less about the worlds merging. He had never felt any real attachment to the world itself, anyway. All it ever was, to him, was a challenge.
As such, at the age of 44, Jordan, the computer genius of the alternate world, died. At that very moment, in another world, another Jordan was born.
Perhaps there had been an error in his calculations, for he was reborn into the body of a male infant who had died.
For the first time, he experienced something unfamiliar—a family member's tears.
The woman who had just given birth clutched the lifeless baby in her arms, howling in grief. The man, though, didn't cry aloud, crouched down, and silently wept.
Suddenly, someone gasped in shock.
