Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 2090

"M-Marcel!"

After a brief moment of stunned silence, a sense of dread washed over Elysia. Without considering her status, she staggered quickly into the room.

When she saw Marcellus' figure curled up on the floor, blood staining the ground beneath, her eyes widened in horror. She could no longer hold back and let out a piercing scream.

"My dear Marcel!"

Marcellus was ruined. Though he still clung to life, he was now nothing but a cripple.

As for the one responsible, Aurelia vanished without a trace. The only thing left behind was her chilling voice, lingering in the ears of all present.

"Grievances come full circle, and vengeance is repaid in kind. Marcellus Ignis, in the days to come, I shall make you live as I have—mocked and humiliated by all.

"Until the day you die, I shall never take my eyes off you."

When Aurelia's words fell, her grudge energy dissipated, yet the Divine Power still delayed its retribution.

By then, Elysia and Maeric had forgotten about Fenric, who had been starving for two days.

Rather than worry about him, they were consumed by their fury over the fact that Marcellus' future was ruined beyond repair.

Their frustration worsened as they found themselves unable to confront Aurelia directly, and instead, their wrath fell upon Serelith.

If it were not for her final words, Aurelia wouldn't have done that to Marcellus. If she hadn't stopped Gideon from exorcising Aurelia, Marcellus' future wouldn't have been destroyed.

At that moment, they were consumed with such hatred for Serelith that they could almost tear her apart.

Facing the fury of the Ignis couple, Serelith remained composed, her voice calm and measured. "In five days, the coming-of-age ceremony will be upon us. Your precious daughter's future opportunity lies ahead.

"Are you truly willing to have the entire family become the subject of ridicule at such a crucial time, thus undoing all your efforts?"

One simple statement from Serelith left Elysia and Maeric utterly speechless, their fury silenced in an instant.

As for what followed, when Marcellus and Fenric endured great suffering, they learned that their parents had chosen to sweep everything under the rug for the sake of their beloved daughter, Solvanna.

"I will pay you 200 dollars to borrow it for seven days, with a guarantee that it will be returned to you in perfect condition."

After a long pause, Gideon conceded. "Deal."

It wasn't that he did it for money, but for some reason, when the astrolabe was in Shannon's hands, it refused to go back to him...

After using the 60 dollars from Liora as a deposit and agreeing to return for the item in seven days at the Ignis residence, a satisfied Shannon took the astrolabe back to her courtyard.

Once Gideon had left, Serelith reappeared, drifting beside Shannon. Perhaps because her lingering attachment had lessened, her spirit seemed much livelier.

She gazed curiously at the astrolabe Shannon was holding and asked, "Shannon, what do you need this for? Are there more ghosts in the manor to collect?"

Shannon left her unanswered. It wasn't until she returned to her room and closed the door behind her that she placed the astrolabe on the table and instructed, "Show yourself."

The curious Serelith watched as a familiar ghostly shadow slowly floated out of the astrolabe.

To her surprise, it was Aurelia, the very ghost who had possessed Marcellus earlier and severed his lineage!
