Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1982

Meanwhile, Shannon was oblivious to the various discussions happening outside due to her actions. She was busy at the moment.

According to the agreement, 15 of the "service fees" received tonight would go to the original vendor of the stall, and any extra would be Shannon's reward.

Vendors in Phantom Market rarely made this many sales in a year, but tonight, with so many transactions at once, it was enough to make them smile with satisfaction, even though they only received the service fees.

When they returned, they were extremely friendly to Shannon and didn't envy the reward she had earned.

She then distributed some items she had newly acquired to her teammates. After all, writing tags, verifying items, and exchanging goods with other vendors was a lot of work; she and Elliot alone couldn't have handled it.

After Skylar and the others had found their items, they came over to help as well.

And so, the mystical tournament, under Shannon's leadership, was unexpectedly transformed into a college night market social practice assignment.

Although Bianca had also successfully exchanged for her item, she couldn't help but feel envious as she watched Shannon's side. "Sigh. Why am I not in Shannon's group?"

If she were an exchange student from the demonic school going to the mystic school, would she also be considered a half-mystic master when she returned?

Cornelius, upon hearing this, simply gave her a faint glance, saying nothing.

The required "payment" to redeem items wasn't limited to item exchanges; some vendors would ask participants to help complete certain tasks based on their needs.

Tonight, Cornelius had traded a task for the item he wanted, then exchanged it with Shannon's stall. Along the way, some people from Team Northgate tried to seize his item in order to complete their round.

However, they didn't know that Cornelius only had the tag, not the item itself. As a result, the two of them were thoroughly beaten up by him.

So, even though they were all mystic masters, not every one of them was like Shannon.

Meanwhile, Shannon was dividing up the spoils when an old ghost arrived at her stall. It was the same one who had previously shown interest in the rare signed poster.

Since he hadn't been able to offer an item with official markings for exchange earlier, the old ghost had left in a huff.

Seeing the old ghost's disappointed expression, she continued, "But I can trade you something else instead."

Shannon wrote out another tag for the old ghost, setting the terms of the agreement. After the tournament ended, the old ghost could come to her with the tag to redeem the item listed on it.

The old ghost kept checking the contents on the tag, then happily handed over the painting to Shannon. They agreed to meet later to complete the exchange, and then he disappeared into the market.

Newton's earlier concerns were entirely unnecessary.

Everyone from the mystic arts community knew that a binding contract made with a ghost was not something to be easily broken. The items Shannon promised were only those that she could provide.

As time passed, participants who had successfully secured their qualifications to proceed began to leave Phantom Market.

Shannon and Mike's group were also preparing to leave. The exit had been specially arranged and approved by the tournament organizer.
