No path was ever set for humankind from the beginning of time. It was only forged through the steps of those who walked it.
The option Shannon took was outside of the official rules. It was forged through her own way, making it the fourth option.
"Elliot and I just made a quick round through Phantom Market and noticed that all the participants' items have special sigil markings, also known as the official markings."
Shannon picked up the mini skull and another item from the stall. As she released her spiritual energy, faint sigils immediately appeared on both the skull and the item.
Those were the official markings.
She pointed at the other item. "This is Elliot's item."
It was a spine from his true form.
Bianca curiously asked, "And both of your items happened to be at the same stall?"
Shannon shook her head. "I exchanged Elliot's item using my other item from another vendor."
Thanks to that transaction, Shannon learned that while participants couldn't redeem someone else's item from a vendor, exchanges between vendors were allowed.
Naturally, it opened up a lot of possibilities for her.
"The principle of bartering is essentially using what I have in excess to trade for what you need. As long as you understand the market demands, even a piece of bread can be traded multiple times until it's finally exchanged for a bicycle."
Although Shannon had previously focused only on mystic arts techniques, she had picked up some knowledge of capital trade due to Adam and Hector's influences.
For example, the vendor who held Elliot's item wanted him to trade a piece of armor made from hedgehog quills as an exchange.
The vendor's reason was that they wanted something to protect themselves with during critical moments.
Bianca, Cornelius, and the livestream audience finally understood what the fourth option meant.
However, they still had a question.
"The organizers wouldn't just give you a stall as a centralized trading platform. So, where did you get this stall?"
That question was one that Shannon's loyal viewers could answer.
She had no intention of hiding it either. She simply said, "I signed a betting agreement with the vendor. Before the market closes, I'll complete at least 15 transactions for him, and all the items from those trades will belong to him."
Shannon paused here, and Cornelius and Bianca remained silent, waiting for her to continue.
Although they didn't fully understand human affairs, they knew that there had to be some penalty in any betting agreement if the conditions weren't met.
