Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1949

It was a brawl, nevertheless.

When the demon instructors rushed over, they saw the school gate littered with sprawled bodies, various demon fur flying through the air, and the wailing cries of young demons.

It was clear that the fight had already ended. In fact, the perpetrators had already fled.

Frustrated and unable to catch anyone in the act, one instructor kicked a demon who was lying nearby, injured and bruised, and muttered under their breath, "You guys started it, yet ended up getting beaten… What a disgrace!"

The unfortunate demon who suffered the kick didn't dare to argue. They could only let out a low, resentful grunt.

Who would have thought that all the demons from the east wing couldn't even hold their ground against just 12 demons from the west wing?

Especially Shannon and Cornelius! Weren't they supposed to be half-demons? Why was their power so much stronger than theirs, the pure-blood demons?

Demons couldn't tolerate deception unless the one deceiving them was too powerful to retaliate against.

This fight had effectively subdued most of the students at school. The few remaining ones, while still unwilling to accept it, no longer dared to approach Cornelius.

While the demon faculty was busy cleaning up the mess at the school gates, those from Special Demon Class, along with Kai, had already returned to their territory in the west wing.

As soon as they entered the area, the once-united team of friends suddenly became distant.

Faces turned cold, and expressions hardened. They all distanced themselves from Cornelius, walking ahead with their backs straight.

Denim even let out a cold snort, clearly signaling to Cornelius that he was displeased. His attitude was unmistakably clear: "I'm mad, so you'd better come apologize."

They wouldn't allow outsiders to make noise about Cornelius' half-demon identity, but that didn't mean they were willing to overlook the fact that he had deliberately hidden his half-demon nature for years.

Perhaps, in a small way, he did care. But that tiny feeling wasn't enough to make him open up and share his past with them.

Amid his silence, he watched as the others walked further ahead.

Beside him, Kai was nearly bursting with impatience. Knowing everyone would be gone if Cornelius didn't speak soon, he hurriedly leaned in, gave him a push, and whispered, "Go on, apologize!"

No explanation? Fine. But at least an apology, right?

In the hundred years of his dragon life, the concept of apologizing was completely foreign to Cornelius. Reuben had never taught him to apologize. Usually, it was others apologizing to him, begging for mercy.

Though he didn't fully understand it, he hesitated for half a second after Kai's reminder and did it almost instinctively.

His steps stopped, and he looked toward the others ahead. His voice was low and hoarse as he said, "I'm sorry."
